These things may be a problem.
While the strong metal casing gave me the first impression that these were going to the the most sturdy IEMs that I've ever owned, I've only had these for several days now and they've begun to give my left ear a strong electrical shock when I plug them into my computer. I may return them, but it was a good deal while it lasted; I used them for exercise and relaxation alike and would definitely buy them again if they weren't so conductive. They are indeed strong little headphones, but I never expected them to doosh it like this. Ow.

Amazing Sound Quality. Period.
I have to say that without a doubt, this is a ridiculously good pair of earphones for such a low price. I can not think of any other pair of headphones in this price bracket that performs as good as these. These headphones are literally heads and shoulder above anything else you can get at this price. Unlike many other headphones which pump up bass at the cost of clarity, these headphones manage to walk the fine line of bass response and clarity. Don't get me wrong, these headphones are no slouch when it comes to bass, but when you listen to these headphones, you can't ignore how well these reproduce vocals. To put it in a word, they are clear. Compared to many other headphones in this price bracket, you'd swear that listening to the KC06's somehow magically removed a veil from the artist's face. These headphones just ooze detail. The only reason I give it 4 stars is due to the build quality and customer support. The cable sleeve feels very durable. Unfortunately, what broke in my pair wasn't the sleeving. It was the internal wiring. At the base of the left and right drivers, where the strain relief would be, the wires inside it seem to have torn. The sleeve is perfectly intact, but the wires inside it have torn and oxidized. I registered for their 3 month extended warranty, but they don't respond to emails at all. However, it pains me to say that despite their non-existant CS, I would still buy these again. That's how good they are.

Good sound, but dangerous
Pros:+ Sound is excellent for the price+ Great packaging+ Large assortment of tips for fit and sound+ Unique look, without being uncomfortable+ Build quality (perceived, continue reading)Cons:- Bass is a little lacking when not amped- Low impedance ensures they can be driven by anything, but causes significant noise when plugged into proper amp- Actual build quality is terrible (again, continue reading)Meh:+- Cable can easily tangle. Not negative enough for a proper con.Review:I got these IEMs a few months back after Tek Syndicate, as well as several users on Head-Fi and Massdrop recommended them. The box was excellent. There was obvious care put into the box, despite how Engrish their slogan was. Removing the IEMs, I immediately felt quality in them. The solid metal design felt like you could shoot it with a tank and it would still survive. I also found a variety of different tips that not only changed the fit, but also changed the sound. The harder rubber gives a much tighter bass, while the softer rubber gives more, albeit looser, low end. I quickly hooked these up to my phone, and was quickly blown away. For the price, these rivaled my old Klipsch IEMs I had. No EQ was necessary for me on mobile. There was a little less bass than I would like, but it was far from lacking. Plugging these into a proper amp did cause a lot of noise, however.Fast forward about a month. I am listening to these, and had to take them out to leave the house. I look into the left bud and noticed that the grill covering the driver was missing. I originally thought that it had just fallen out, but felt something in my ear. After having someone look in with a flashlight, the truth was quickly surfaced. The grill came out of the bud IN MY EAR. Luckily, it didn't fall entirely into the canal, and I was able to have it removed with a pair of medical pliers, without needing to go to the hospital. It appears that they used a less-than-par glue to adhere the grill to the bud. After heating up, it just loosened and fell out. If this would have happen at any other time, it would not have been a big deal. However, this easily could have ended up with me in the hospital. I quickly swapped these out for a pair of T1Es by TTPOD, and while they are not a metal housing, they are much better in terms of build quality than these. I am sure that mine might have been a fluke, but I would still recommend you stay away.

I did some research and saw these came highly recommended. The sound quality is probably better than anything ...
I was looking for quality earphones but didn't want to spend an outrageous amount. I did some research and saw these came highly recommended. The sound quality is probably better than anything you'll find at this price. However, it comes at the cost of cord quality and controls on the cord. If sound quality is the most important thing to you, these are the best you can do for their price. I highly recommend them.

great headphones! I'm real. For a time :(
Headphones actually worth the money. Good quality. I'm a medical student. I'm not paid to review stuff. So if I review something, it's because I think it's good. So there.Broke after 1 year of use :(

They fit Just right, and the sound is clean as well!
These are the only IEMs that I have ever had that are both comfortable and stay in my ears. The downside is that they are not the most durable. I have destroyed one pair of these and a pair of KC06A in the past year, and am on the second pair of KC06. The shirt clip thing is also not the best, as I have destroyed those with every pair i have had fairly quickly. The shirt clip also takes tension off of the weaker parts of the cable, so this needs to be addressed ASAP.The sound is mids heavy, and can seem very harsh to those who are used to bassy sound signatures. I have learned to enjoy their sound over time because the fit was worth it. They are clean, and allow much more detail than many IEMs in this price range. These make cheaper in ears sound like listening through a sock for the most part.I have just ordered the KC09 because I like Ostry's products so much. Here's hoping they are even better to me.
