Softer fur!
This product has completely changed my beagle's coat. At over 10 years old, his fur feels as soft as it did when he was a puppy. All his life, he has suffered from dry and itchy skin. First, the vets attributed it to allergies. Then, they attributed it to the shampoo he was using. Next, they attributed it to the detergent we were using on our clothes/sheets... To keep it short, they really didn't seem to know what they were talking about, or they really just had a bunch of ideas of what was wrong with out and definitive diagnoses. Well, after becoming frustrated with expensive vet bills, and inconclusive visits, I decided to do a little homework and take matters into my own hands. I have found that Omega 3, 6, and 9 have all been linked to an overwhelming amount of health benefits. In fact, in a University of Maryland study (Google it, I don't think I'm allowed to post links!) it was found that essential fatty acids (such as omega 3, 6, and 9) were found to treat skin conditions such as demartitis, which dogs frequently suffer from! After including this supplement into my dogs meals based on the dose guide on the back of this bottle, I have noticed he is softer than ever, and his dry and itchy skin has improved dramatically! While this is an excellent product, ALWAYS check with your vet before adding a supplement into your dogs diet! You certainly don't want to harm your pet by adding too much of something they may already be getting enough of, but if they are deficient in a omega oils, and you get your vets "OK", then I would absolutely recommend this product!I received this product to test in exchange for an honest review. As someone who uses customer reviews to guide my own purchases, I take reviewing products seriously. Please know that my rating of this product was in no way biased. I will be more than happy to try to answer any questions you may have about this product!

My picky Yorkie loved it!
My Yorkie has Irritable Bowel Disease and congenital kidney failure which force her to eat a low fat low protein diet. Her vet prescribed a fish oil supplement to replace some of the fat missing from her diet to help keep her skin & coat healthy. She was prescribed Wellactin, a fish oil capsule. I was told to give her half a capsule every day. How do you give half of a gel capsule filled with oil? I had to poke a hole in it with a pin to squeeze the oil on her food as the capsule was way too big for her to eat. I was throwing the rest away which was a waste. I tried giving her a whole capsule every other day on her food, but the oil had a horrible fishy smell, which they tried to mask with mint for whatever reason. Needless to say the whole thing was icky & my dog refused to eat her very expensive prescription food. A supplement is no good if you can't get it down. Then I found the Primed Paws oil...NO fishy/minty smell or flavor. In fact, no real smell or flavor at all. My dog loved it! We were running low, so I came back to reorder it, only fo find out the price has gone up 50% from $19.99 to $29.99 7n the span of a couple of months. What gives with that??? Going to have to pay it because she needs it & it really does what it claims. Her skin is not scaly anymore. Her blue/black hair which was dull & listless is now supple & shiny again. Being disabled & on a fixed income, $30 per bottle is a bit much to swallow on top of the $60/month I pay for the prescription food. I may have to look for something else that doesn't cost as much yet gets the job done. If I can't find anything, I guess we'll figure it out, but I'm not real happy.I love the product & what it does, but the significant increase in price is very disappointing.

Amazing improvements! We love this stuff!
This stuff is amazing. A bit pricey, but well worth it. We rescued a puppy recently who was very malnourished. We were told he was 3 months old when we got him, but learned from our vet that he had his adult teeth and had to be closer to seven months, he was just starved so badly his growth was impaired. He had a dull, grey, patchy coat with bald spots on his back. We have since put nearly 20 pounds on him and he still has a way to go, but when we started adding Primed Paws to his food, the quality of his coat changed drastically. He is shiny and smooth and his patches are filling in nicely! I realize that some of this can be attributed to his improved diet and health, but he's still underweight and I am convinced that without Prined Paws, his coat would be a much poorer representation of how far he has come! We also have a 3-year-old lab who gets it now too and she feels like a rabbit. She's seventy pounds and greying around the face, but people still second guess whether or not she has puppy fur. They both also enjoy the taste, which is always a great benefit when supplementing nutrition. I'll just say again, we love it.

May help your dog's coat if not repelled by the smell
I think the fish oil ingredient may have helped soften my dog's coat somewhat, but he clearly did not like the fishy smell of the product. I experienced problems with the pump dispenser on the first bottle and the seller was great to replace it. Sadly, the pump on the second container began to stick at about halfway through the bottle, similar to the first one. Not a big deal to manually pull the dispenser spout up to deliver the next squirt, but for $30 for such a small bottle of product, one should be able to expect at least a trouble-free container. Bottle says 118 doses but I got less from each bottle.

Neutral 2.5
Easy to put a few pumps into my dog's food. My dogs would eat around it at first but now they're fine with it. I'm not going to get another bottle because it's really didn't help him. It may have caused him to break out a few times but I don't know because he has color dilution alopecia. That's the reason I got it so if its not helping him then it's just a waste. May work for other dogs but didn't for him. I would give a 2.5 to stand a neutral ground however I rounded up.

I have a Maltese with a scratching problem. Her hair is very thin and everything that touches her makes her scratch. I could actually feel the difference in her skin and hair each day for a week as the oils moved into her body. This works.

Will be buying again.
Quick results for my dogs. They had flaky, dry skin and some spots where it was even oily (in a not so good way). Balance their skin out and healing nicely!
