USB to RJ11 RJ12 Control Cable for Celestron Nexstar eq6 PC Link to Hand-Controller RS232 Serial Converter Cable

Have an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount and this cable would not allow a firmware update of the hand controller to work.Opened up the USB connector end and swapped the RX and TX wires on the circuit board and now the FW update worked successfully and was able to have the FW update utility report out the HW, FW and database version numbers. Funny how UART signaling is decades old but yet people still get the RX/TX signals swapped when connecting two pieces of equipment.Subtracting one star due to having to rework the cable to get it to work properly.

Money and time wasted. I don’t recommend but if you want to give it a chance go for it. Would give 0 stars if I could since this didn’t work at all

This cable on the description photos shows 6 pins and i get one with 4 pins. This products burnt my ZWO guiding camera. I put it on on my celestron mount believing it will work since on the description mentions its use on celestron mounts. Now I have to spend money on a new guide camera because of $19 cable

I like the cable overall. The one problem, and it could be my computer, is that the USB side of this cable has popped out of my USB ports of my laptop on several occasions. A small strip of electrical tape to hold it in place was my simple solution and the cable works perfectly.

Melted like the other reviewer's. Didn't ever work either...
