Buyers beware, it IS better than you expect!
I can not express how nervous I was about ordering this bed. I loved the way it looked online and couldn't find anything remotely as nice for the price. So I bit the bullet and ordered. I continued to read reviews every day while waiting to receive the bed. Turning these reviews over and over inside my head, I had convinced myself I was going to get the biggest piece of junk. HOWEVER, people are crazy. This bed is AMAZING.I can tell you what I was disappointed in since the list is short. The fabric. It says "Velvet" however I would consider it to look more like microfiber. I can't complain because it is still an absolutely beautiful bed and velvet is made from polyester, so same material. Also, the color "pewter" had me concerned but what I received is a true charcoal grey. The nail heads are all separate, if anyone is wondering they are silver. It was super easy to put together AND it is sturdy. It took about an hour and half for my boyfriend and I to assemble it. That is with me watching and handing him different parts. As for the bed "breaking" during... "sex" HA, no way. The reviewer who posted that they broke their bed the first night... not sure what the heck you were doing but we had zero issues This bed can take a beating ;) The last thing I want to address is the bed not having a full headboard... my mattresses are 22" thick (memory foam and standard box spring) you can not even see that the headboard stops.. pillows or no pillows.I am completely happy!

... time beating the price for a piece of furniture like this. In person
You'll have a tough time beating the price for a piece of furniture like this. In person, the bed is lovely. It doesn't look super high end but it doesn't look tacky either. I loved the studded headboard. The fabric is nice and soft...like velvet. I do wish it was more tufted instead of just buttons that look glued on.Construction by myself took me 3+ hours. The instructions were for a twin size so none of the numbers of parts lined up to what I had for my King. The instructions came with pictures that were taken in black and white and then photocopied so they were completely useless. That aside...it wasn't that difficult to figure out which part goes where...although occasionally I didn't know where a washer or bolt was supposed to go or what side of the metal to put it on. BE CAREFUL when you unpack...you should keep the hardware with the pieces that it was taped with or you'll get confused about which screws to use where since there are many different kinds. The studded wings of my headboard do NOT attach well. The screws simply don't "catch" at the end and you can't get it any tighter since if you go tighter...they loosen themself back up a level. I'm not sure how to better describe that. I fear this will be a problem if I attempt to move the bed since every time I moved the bed after building it, I had to re-tighten the three screws that hold it to the large part of the headboard. Very cheap and flimsy there.Everything else was very secure. The footboards lined up nicely and are tight. The headboard was a little confusing about how high or low to screw it on..but I just set the bottom feet on the ground and screwed it in tight.THERE IS A BIG GAP! If you don't have a big mattress topper or a pillow top bed, there will be this awful huge gap between the bed and the headboard. I'm losing so many pillow through this gap right now it is driving me crazy. I'm going to have to invest in a mattress topper or shove a bunch of stuff behind the bed so that my pillows don't fall off backwards. Visually it isn't much of a problem when the bed is made because I have decorative pillows covering it but it is annoying in the middle of the night.I found out accidentally but it is easy to clean! I made the mistake of laying the headboard down on top of the bed frame so that I could screw some stuff into the back of it...and I got a big black grease stain on the white fabric. About 5 minues and some oxyclean spray cleaner rubbed in later and this problem was completely solved. Stain came all the way out and the fabric dried no problem. Phew! I am a little concerned about the next time I color my hair though so perhaps I will hang a towel over the headboard to prevent any issues just to be safe!Anyways...this would be a fine choice for a guest bedroom but I think that it's probably not what you'd want in your master bedroom. If your budget is this low for your master bed..you'd probably better not waste your money on this one.

I saw this exact same bed at Wayfair AND Neiman ...
I saw this exact same bed at Wayfair AND Neiman Marcus. When I say the same bed, I mean literally the exact same bed. Same material same dimensions, same menufacturer. Look on NeimanMarcus.com and u can see the price difference-- about 1/3 the price on Amazon... crazy! Also Target carries this as well and they were still cheaper on Amazon . Same for the settee at the foot of the bed that you can see in my picture. The pale gray is very neutral and velvet is plush. Overall I think it's well-made although I will say that the way the headboard and frame is a little suboptimal and there is some movement until I pushed it against the wall. Also, my box spring and mattress come to 25 inches in height and there is still enough headboard to put euro pillows still seeing the top of the headboard. The headboard height is also adjustable. I have it at its highest position. I would definitely buy again.

Lovely bed!!
I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The bed is sturdy, good quality, light grey as pictured and real velvet. The nail beds are silver and real (not on a strip) and looks like it's worth much more. I'm happy I held out so long before purchasing a bed because had I not waited I wouldn't have come across this beauty! My only tip is if you plan on putting your headboard to its highest position be sure to purchase an extra box spring or whatever you need to make it higher.

Love my purple bed
Love, Love, Love! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the color was a little darker then I wanted. But still lovely. Very elegant! It only took about an hour to assemble and wasn't hard at all. I would definitely recommend this bed.
