Berserk Collection BLU-RAY Steelbook [2020]

Spoiler free review! One of my all time favourite Anime and I've watched a lot of anime over the years. The story of Guts journey is probably one of the greatest stories ever told. The 1997 anime in my opinion is probably the only Berserk anime worth watching and maybe the 3rd movie of the reboot they did a few years ago. The anime is incomplete but tells a very important part of the story that will leave you begging for more, I ended up buying the entire Manga collection which is so much better with 40 fantastic manga books. Unfortunately with the recent and extremely sad passing of the author leaves us unsure if the story will ever be finished but I hold out that his assistants will finish his lifes work. I have left my copy of the steel book version if Berserk sealed, I'm not quite ready to watch it again at the moment, still a little in shock on how much his passing hit me. For anyone new to this epic tale I would recommend skipping the very first episode and actually watching it last, you'll see what I mean, trust me. Go and buy it now, then buy the manga, if you have money get the deluxe edition, I started my collection a very long time ago before the deluxe editions came out.

A masterpiece, I have not yet read the manga but the 1997 series of Berserk is a must watch. The emotion and story are second to none, and this steelbook, with beautiful artwork cards inside, does it justice. Quite simply one of my most prized possessions. Rest in peace, Kentaro Miura.

I love this, it is a complete collection. Even though there was no real ending I still enjoyed everything else about it. Design, storyline and a great voice cast. Watch it!

Overall a gorgeous steelbook for an amazing anime. I’m just docking a star because it came with a bit of a dent on the front which is kinda hard to miss once you see it. It’s nothing to cry over as it happens easily with steelbooks, but Amazon should at least be a bit more careful.
