Creepy and creative.
Foreign masterpiece from a story by Gogol about a shirking man from the monastary who runs afoul of a wich and kills the body she's residing in. As a favor to the father of the dead daughter he has to stand vigil by her body for three days and pray for her soul to enter heaven. Every night she arises and brings forthdemons to send the cowardly friar to Hell. Very creative stuff. Lot's of bizzare effects and animation.

This is a classic of russian movies. A tale by Gogol very well transport to movies. Medieval Russia, its religion, tales, fears are all there. Really very good

No English subtitles as advertised- only Chinese subtitles. Can’t return the DvD because it ha been opened- Catch 22- Amazon wins.
