Q: I need a devise to muddle or mash up beans to make refried beans. Are the holes small enough to allow this, or do I need a denser type mashing tool?

I use it a lot for beans, works very well for it. The holes are different sizes so the more you mash the smoother obviously.

It does not say anywhere on it, where it is made, therefore, I must assume it's made in China.

Q: What is the size of this potato masher?

I love this masher. I use it when making mashed potatoes and applesauce. It is pretty wide. Larger then a normal potato masher.

Q: what is the material of the handle?

The actual masher is stainless steel. The handle is made of TPR - Thermoplastic Rubber Handle.
