When our Cocker was a puppy, I read horror stories on line, about Walmart and other discount houses and the harmful junk they put in dog food.Royal Canin is top rated, and we did not want any health issues because vets are expensive. At first we tried several recommended by vet, that she would not touch. When we gave her Royal Canin she loved it, and still does.Her weigh has remained around 26 lbs., at a 3/4 cup twice a day and a very healthy dog. I think she likes it because it looks and crunches like cashews. LOLWe buy the 25LB bag, it is costly but so are vet visits. Amazon beats the Pet Smart etc. prices and Prime shipping is free.In five years we have had only one box tore up in transit but no damage to product, and it usually arrives 1-3 days.If you love your pet, feed them premium food, it is well worth the $$.

I’ve tried other foods for my spaniels, but I kept coming back to this brand and have stuck with it for several years now. In addition to the proven claims of having a better coat of fur, this one doesn’t upset either of my dogs’ stomachs. Buying the large bag here on Amazon is a lot cheaper per pound than going to my local PetSmart for a smaller bag, which is the only size they sell. Add to the fact I get two-day shipping for free on such a heavy item and save myself from frequent trips to the store, I think this is a great deal. My dogs would tell you they would give it five stars if they could.

I switched my Cocker Spaniel, Delilah, to Royal Canin at about 15 months old when she started having hard stools. I began by adding raw vegetables , water and wet food to her other brand and found it to be a lot of work for little or no result. Plus she really didn't eat all of her food or would skip a meal. I spoke to my vet and she suggested Royal Canin for Cocker Spaniel breeds. I eased her into the switch and she gobbles it up without anything added to it. Her stools are normal and she has never been happier! I will continue to purchase this product through Amazon because it has been hard for me to find locally.

My cocker was started on this food and I gave it to him until he was a year. But because of price I switched to a cheaper food. Then at 2 he started with ear infections and skin problems. I treated the ears and skin which was costly then my husband bought me a little girl cocker she was on this to as a puppy. I started to notice how soft and glossy her coat was compared to my male. My male started sneaking her left overs and his coat got softer and ears got better and his coat's color came back with no smelly dog odor. Now at 14 months and 5 years their both on it. I get asked all the time what am I doing that their coats are so healthy. I tell them about the dog food and your prices.

I have fed my dogs Royal Canin (Red bag, med adult ) for years. I recently switched to this breed specific formula. My 2yr old Cocker has no health issues "yet" But this isn't my first. I am hoping that this food will help keep the skin, ear, etc... issues at bay.UPDATE JUNE 2016Excellent feed. No health issues & this lazy Cockers weight is perfect!

I raise my cocker spaniels on Royal Canin from the time they are conceived until they pass this world. There is no better dog food for this breed. The coat is healthy and shines. When I have them out, people always comment how truly beautiful they are.

This is by far the best food for my Cocker Spaniel. She loves it and has been eating it for years without any digestive issues that she had with other foods. The ONLY problem is that it is quite expensive.
