LeeWomen's Petite Instantly Slims Classic Relaxed Fit Monroe Straight Leg Jean

I’m having the hardest time finding classic, dark wash blue jeans. These aren’t perfect, but they’re close to what I’d prefer and I am happy to have found them until I find what I really want. They’re uniformly dark and don’t have those awful, artificial “distress” lines on the stomach area or whitened areas on the thighs (Who likes that look? It’s so unflattering!). What makes these less than perfect for me is they have a bit of stretch mixed in the cotton (I know some people like stretch), and the appearance of the dark denim fabric has some faintly visible white lines (similar to the look of textured artificial linen fabrics) if you look closely. I’m enjoying wearing these with boots, a sweater and jacket during these cooler fall days. They were reasonably priced and feel comfortable.

I am 5ft 2in and have a hard time finding jeans that fit. I have purchased in the past and had them altered and that did not work. These are Petite/Short! They are a perfect fit, length is just right. They are a relaxed feel. Wash like a dream and dry and ready again. If you are short this jean is for you, Joan P

Fit nicely. Legs and rear were a bit too roomy. Zipper metal but edges feel a little sharp.

I would have given this a 5-star rating except for the front pocket. Jeans need functional front pockets! Just another 1 1/2 inch depth to the pocket would have made this the perfect pair of jeans! Short pockets allow things to fall out! The fit is great and very comfortable. The waistband is reinforced at the button area and I expect it to wear well.

I gave it four stars only because the hips are a bit wide on me The jeans that I wanted were not available so I bought these. The Monroe fit would have worked well before I lost weight----not the fault of the product. Lee jeans are great because of the high cotton content. They also fit at the waist if you buy the ones with that profile. They have useable pockets. They also stretch some so fit your shape if you have a shape that is worth showing off. Love them!

Will be returning these. Gee I was disappointed. Made me sad when I took a peek in the mirror!

These pants are very comfortable. They have a bit of stretch to them. One thing to note is that these pants are the "old fashioned" kind of pants, meaning, they fit very high in the waist, more like jeans did way back in the '80's. A lot of people today would call these Mom jeans because they have a higher rise. That being said, I did want full coverage and I know that Lee's are cut this way so I felt comfortable ordering them. But if you like a lower rise, these are not the pants for you.My figure is more of an apple than a pear, I'm thick at the waist and have a belly so I ordered up a size in these. Lee pants tend to have thin waists. Where I can fit into a 14 in other jeans, in Lee, a 14 would be tight at the waist. Therefore, I ordered the 16 and they fit wonderfully. That's the only reason this doesn't get 5 stars, because like every other woman, I'd rather not have to order a size up.I'm 5'1" and these are the perfect length. I would say if you're 5'3" or taller, these are going to be a bit short for you. The pants have a tag that says "you'll look a size smaller" and I really believe this is true, or it could be that black pants just make you look a little thinner. I wish Amazon also sold these in a dark blue denim color because I'd order those as well, because overall the fit suits my body type fine. I like them a lot.

Comfortable jeans that don’t fall down (as some do with stretch comfort) - not the most flattering on my shape (short plump legs) but they’re ok for every day wear.

Good quality, I am happy that finally I found a perfect fit - and also the perfect length (shirt) so I don’t need to alter my new jeans.

I ordered a size 12 and received a size 8. I nearly returned them but it turns out that this is because of USA sizing.These are nice well made jeans. The slate colour looks great.
