It’s Dangerous To Go Alone. Take This! If you’re in need of a lightweight cosplay prop then this sword and shield set is a perfect fit for any little adventurer on their way to save the princess. The wood is approx. ¼” thick. There are 2 layers of wood on the shield, the top layer to show off the beautiful details. The bottom layer of the shield has the background color and there are straps on the back for the child to wear over their arm. The sword is also 2 layers of wood for the blade with another layer for the hilt to add details. They are very lightweight with both weighing approx. 1-1/2 lb. They are spray painted so I would not recommend to any age where the child still puts anything in their mouth. There is no age limit but obviously they may seem too small for a larger adult but perfect still for a petite person. The sword and shield is made from wood to be a durable toy, but the paint is subject to damage if the item collides with hard surfaces. We suggest it for pretend play, but not hard LARPing or play fighting.

Not durable
Within ten minutes of playing, it began to chip. My son was so excited to open the package, only to be disappointed ten minutes later. He saved his own money for two months in order to purchase this.

Kid loves it.
11 yr old grandson loves it. It is thick and looks great with other costume parts he owns. Time will tell on the durability.

Great gift, my little Hylianders love it!
I bought this for my son for his birthday, it is beautiful and incredible and all of the kids love playing with it. It's wood, so I assume it will chip, eventually. Its still very durable and I don't doubt my son will play with it til it literally falls apart.

Perfect collectible
This was a perfect addition to my Zelda themed game room. It met my expectations. Nicely painted and is a perfect replica of the hylian shield and sword. It’s very lightweight and was easily hung using command strips. I wouldn’t recommend it for play; it’ll get dented or bashed or someone could get hurt since it’s wooden. Definitely good for collection/display purposes (or cosplay: but it’s smaller and would fit a small child). I am pleased with the quality and would recommend to any Zelda fan
