LOVE THIS PUMP!
Purchased this pump to remove water from pool cover in the winter. This little pump has taken a beating over this winter. I thought at first it wasn't going to do well. I removed the filter and it works like a dream now. We had a bunch of snow, ice and rain that froze to the top of the pool cover. As soon as it melted I dropped this in let it run for two days straight! Pumped all the water out except for a small bit. I forgot about it and it got really cold that night. FROZE to the top of the pool. It shut off. I thought it was dead. When the water melted inside about two hours later, it started right up. I couldn't believe it. If this pump ever dies, I would buy it again because I have really gotten my money's worth out of it.

Filter comes off too easily but holds up to hard use.
It wants to come apart at the filter and can be a bit agrivating to put back onand reposition but it holds up. The last one lasted 7 years and was frozen and thawed in the pool numerous times. It has also run on a dry pool cover for a day numerous times. It finally cracked up the side and lost pressure. I replaced it with the same model since it had lasted longer than the rest.

Quiet, suction appeared great; easy to clean
I bought this product to pump out a Softub spa. I haven't used it yet but I did a trial in the pool (just to make sure it worked). I plugged it in and thought, "crap, it isn't working"...then, I pulled the hose out of the pool and the water was poring out...it was THAT quiet. The flow was better than I had expected (although to be fair, it wasn't fighting gravity....like over a tub wall). I did have a bit of a time unsnapping the plastic that holds in the filter, but only b/c I didn't want to break it. After it was out the first time, it was easier to take off and on. I will try and update in a few weeks when I change the spa water for the winter.

Awesome!
This pump is in its second year. I live in MA, it stays on the pool cover all winter. It has frozen solid at least a dozen times, and for weeks at a time. Still works! Very solid. I am amazed at how well this works. I will buy another.Update: the year, 2020. Day 40 of the viral attack! The pump seems unfazed by the pandemonium taking place. Still doing its job like a champ. Has not called out once. I would buy this pump again; however, I feel it will outlive me and my entire family.

Perfect pump for pumping water off your pool cover
Awesome pump. I was skeptical at first due to the inexpensive price of the and how small it was when I received it. I used it for the first time today and it was a homerun. I had been using a hose to siphon the water off my pool, which was painfully slow and constantly either losing its siphon or leafs clogged the hose. This little pump did a great job. I just placed it on the cover, walked away, and let the pump do the rest. The pump ran for about 6 to 7 hours and I did not have to readjust or clear the filter during that time. I had read reviews that it clogged easily with leafs but I had no issues and I had a lot of leafs on my cover. I highly recommend this unit.

It's Great
We use this pump to remove the water from the pool cover. I will continue to get these forever as long as they are available. They are light weight and pump as long as they are plugged in. The pumps also come with the mesh to remove the debris before it goes through the pump which will allow for a little longer use!

Excessive time from order to delivery
This pump works great-does exactly what it is supposed to. I ordered it on Nov. 6 and finally got it Nov. 27. The estimated delivery date was originally Nov. 13-Nov. 16. I was ok with that. I am in SC-it went from NY to NJ, NC to Kansas, then to California. It was supposed to be delivered by Fed Ex. Somehow it got routed to the US postal system and I finally got it Nov. 27. The problem seemed to lie with the delivery-it went round the world through all those states to get to me. So be forewarned it may take a while to get here, but when you get it it does the job.

Indestructible
I'm a first time pool owner and bought this on a whim to help remove water from my pool cover. Ive accidentally left this sit in water over night for several days before using again and it starts right up no problem. Most recently the water above my cover froze and it's been sitting under ice for 3 weeks now. We had warmer temperatures over the last 2 days and I plugged it in today and it keeps chugging. The only downside is that I wish the flow rate is higher. The reason it's stayed out overnight before is because I forget it's out there when it can take hours to drain a decent amount of water on a 24ft round pool.
