Worth the cost
It works great. We have a 1977 Datsun in pristine condition and were worried about the interior starting to show wear and tear. We installed it to one of the back passenger windows. Installation was easy to do with the diagram that came with the ventilator. The easy to cut vinyl spacers are very sturdy and adjusted perfectly. My friends new car has solar panels on the roof and does the same thing. But mine costs a lot less. The solar panel sits on the outside of the window and it tilts to adjust. The inside has the fans that pulls the hot air out. I had heard about auto dealer who had used this device to keep the interiors of their cars in good shape. Thought is was worth a try and I'm glad I did.

Great for small cars! Not for SUVs
Great for a small car but it can't keep up with the heat of a Florida summer. I have a Ford Escape and although it does help to ventilate my suv, it's still very hot. I would likely need two of these ventilators to be able to have a significant effect. Perhaps a 4 fan unit with a larger solar panel would be a welcome addition. However at this price point, it's an expensive endeavor. The two fans are essentially cpu fans in a plastic housing connected to a solar panel. Should be cheaper but guess the panel is expensive?Setup for "curved corner edged" windows is not great and leaves some areas for rain exposure. If you have an older car with straight corner windows then you should have a snug fit for the rubber fittings. However, I did find a diy solution at my local hardware store. In addition, a window wind deflector is a great rain blocker especially when using it for short trips to the store. You will find assembling and disassembling the rubber fitting for each stop over gets tiresome and I find this window deflector great for quick assembly even though it leaves a gap at either end of the ventilator. Also I would not recommend driving with this ventilator as the rubber fittings will likely fly away!

Disappointed
I am disappointed. The unit does not generate cold air and minimal cool air. It seems to have very little impact in a tropical location like Hawaii. It is noisy and has no on/off switch, so one must be subjected to the whirring sound of the fan unless it turns off, on its own for no apparent reason. Then it turns itself on again. Also it loosely fits on the window to the extent that it rattles against the window glass when on a bumpy road. I would like to return it but I have already cut the black rubber strip. Let me know if return/refund is possible.

Don't waste you money on this one!
We have three vehicles and in order for this fan to be placed in the window of any vehicle, you must cut a rubber liner supplied with the fan and slide the rubber liner along the top portion of your car, van or pickup glass window. The fan is supposed to butt-up against the rubber, then your window is rolled up so that the rubber liner can slide into the window channel (typically felt or rubber itself) and the problem is, that no car window is squared off or straight. Most windows have a gentle curve as they slope down from near the roof line to where your rear view mirrors are located on the bottom part of the window on the outside of your car, van or pickup. One previous reviewer stated this fan didn't work on his car and I can see why now. The rubber "gasket" supplied with this product is neither long enough nor flexible enough to follow the natural slope of ANY window. Thus my reason for sending the fan back for a refund (less than $10 for shipping I will have to eat) because Amazon gave me "Sorry, it's not our fault this didn't fit" which is total bull.Sadly, the fan seems quite robust and in full sunlight it kicks out some serious "wind" from the two small fans. The instructions on a piece of paper that come in the box are written in Chinese, but the box also has instructions and drawings inside the lid that easily explain how to install and use the fan, but the fan can not probably be used on anything other than a vehicle that has square or perfectly rectangular windows. I wanted to add a photo showing the natural curve of my driver's side window and how their material can not accommodate the curve, but it looks like Amazon now longer allows for videos and pictures... But, the person who wrote the review about his Prius and the difficulty with the rubber strip, I think you can get the idea that the rubber strip is just a bad way to try and seal off the window along the juncture of the window channel (frame) and the glass itself.

Excellent
I've just ordered a second one. Don't waste your money of the cheaper ones. I've probably spent enough on them to buy these. As good as these are, I still used shades on my windows while parked including a large item designed for winter ice. This fits across your windshield that hooks over the side mirrors. I have hypersensitive pneumonitis, and asthma that can be triggered by stuffy heat. All this helps.

Love it, just wish it could be placed in ...
Love it, just wish it could be placed in my car.window - glass is curved and my car is all electric powered, so it will spring open feeling there is something that shouldn't be there - too bad ! Kulcar does make a difference - it is just not working for my windows, gave up trying in the end. If it works : straight windows and not electric powered windows ! Then you will have the perfect cooling car device !

The Fan is great quality and works well
STRAIGHT-EDGE WINDOW REQUIRED. The Fan is great quality and works well. I would rate it higher if not for the fact that this is not designed for today's compact cars with curved windows. Would be great for SUV or Truck with straight edge rear windows. Thought I could make modifications with the seal to fit my 4-door but won't happen without gaps, so I cannot leave it in the window... rain & potential break-in realities. I use it in my driveway, but nowhere else. Wish I could as the actual fan mechanism is fabulous.

Did Not Work
This product did not lower the temperature inside the car at all. I was also disappointed in the construction and installation. The product is constructed of cheap plastic and does not allow for a tight, secure installation. Definitely not worth $89 and I would never recommend this to anyone.
