Retro ManufacturingHPA1 Black Amplified Hide-Away AM/FM Antenna

I ran into a situation where stations which came in perfectly fine in my last vehicle, were too weak in my new car. I purchased this antenna to see if I could get around a dealer's $2,000 antenna upgrade.I mounted the antenna on the hidden side of the plastic the wipers stick out of using some 3M tape adhesive tape. I ran the cable through a grommet in the firewall and tucked it behind the floor panel fabric all the way to the head unit. The only problem I ran in to was the ground wire was too short (about 6" long), and had to be extended.The entire install is completely hidden and I receive HD signals from stations which previously had spotty reception at best. It's not perfect and probably would be substantially less than great if you try to burry it in / under your dash.If your looking for something with a bit more power, a fin style antenna mounted to the roof of your car would probably provide better results.

Loved it!!! Wish the grounding wire was longer. Make sure you give this thing a very good grounding(earth) and it'll work well. It does go in and out sometimes with HD radio but its better than my busted up old Antenna wire. No way was I going to dig up every foot of the old worn broken cable. this helped a lot!

Very disappointed, I shaved the antenna off my 1999 legacy gt wagon and used this installed in the roof by the windshieldGets maybe 1 channel, pretty much useless. Waste of money

Works Great

This works great has led lights to let you know when its on and shows the temp.

Does not get great reception. Can only grab a few stations.

Gets about as many channels as my old corroded stock antenna ('03 Jetta). It's nice to be able to shave off the old dorky looking antenna​, but this thing should get more channels especially since it's powered.

Doesn't support enhanced FM. Otherwise works well but limited reception range.
