Giggle Fun
Okay, so consider my dilemma. My go-to present for little people is books, books and more books. Hand selected. I really care. Next month is my great grandson’s first birthday. So, which book? His Maurice Sendak library is well stocked (baby shower), so how to pick something that can come close to Sendak’s marvelous imagination. Both parents are super serious mental health professionals, so there is that. I wanted something audacious and fun, and by golly this gorgeous little picture book does the job.

Very,very GOOD!!
I have no idea where I bought my original copy of this book, but I bought it for my youngest children who are now 13 and 15. The book was literally hanging by threads, lol, and so tattered and torn as to be unrecognizable. What other testimony do you need to a much loved book?? With tears in my eyes, I knew the book would not be able to withstand being read cover to cover ever again, and so I bought a brand new copy for my grandson to enjoy! We all love this book, and still manage to occasionally put in snippets of the "that's good, no that's bad" into our conversations over the years. A much loved favorite!

This is a fantastic read aloud
This is a fantastic read aloud. My preschool class love this book. It is one of their top 10 most requested books. It sparks their creativity and I find that it influences their story telling. I will hear them in the block area or in the dress up area saying "that's good!" and then another child exclaiming "no, that's bad!" and then add a plot twist. Such a fun book.

Jr. or Sr. Kindergarten story time classic!
I've used this story for Kindergarten school visits many times now and it doesn't get boring or old to read to the kids. There's lots going on in the story that keeps the kids guessing.
