It's a different change of pace.
Well I have only went through the first four discs so far. Having been involved with martial arts since 1978, and having trained in numerous systems, I can say that I agree with some of the reviews as I too found the choreography for discretion 3 a bit complex, and having had to use what I have trained in for real life situations, I can tell you that a majority of those moves would never be utilized in the the way they are presented in Disc 3. (For more accurate use of how moves in a workout program might be used, one might instead try a program called "Cardio Kung-fu", which I have also used in the past as a workout tool.) However, that being said I have yet to get through all of the DVDs. I do find it interesting, that they are throughout the dvds when they mention various pull up exercises, they push buying the portable pull up bar unit, that fits in a door frame, from their company; but when you get to disc 2, that deals with pull ups being the majority of that work out, the first disclaimer in the advisory section is to not use the very same portable pull up bar unit that they are trying to get people to buy. And in fact the ones leading you in the workout were using custom made pull up bars -supplied to the by Century MA- that were fastened to the ceiling of the workout set, for maximum support and stability. My only other concern so far is that, I purchased my set for almost $40, and I now see it being sold for about $22. However on a last note, it is definitely more interactive and interesting than Tae-bo.

It will make you feel better on the inside
This workout is for the mind as well as the body. It will make you feel better on the inside. As well as the out side. And that is a good thing

but not a good way to start working out if exercise is new ...
A decent workout if your are already in shape, but not a good way to start working out if exercise is new to you. Some of the instructors are pushy and yell a lot, which is great if your into that, but as a professional martial arts instructor, the only work out I really enjoyed was the traditional workout they included. The others were more like P90X2 or something similar. Not for everyone, but had some good points.

I'm a black belt in Kempo and thought this might be fun. It wasn't
Don't bother. I've been through two rounds of P90X, tried Insanity. I'm a black belt in Kempo and thought this might be fun. It wasn't. Barely breaking a sweat and the choreography for the cardio workouts was either overly complex or flat out boring. Disappointed.
