What I received was not "green" - it was "white"?? Appeared to be the same otherwise so I used it anyway - time will tell if hair line cracks show up in the new tile. Be sure NOT to get the paper backing wet. If it gets wet you won't get the paper off. The silver backing is SUPER tacky. Hard to even get your fingers off of it. It should absolutely stay stuck to the concrete. Hope the thin set stays stuck to the "White Skin" fabric! Again time will tell.

I am tiling several rooms that used to have carpet. My house is on a slab foundation and I noticed a lot of cracks in the slab. At a previous house I lived in I tiled over the cracks and later regretted it because the tile cracked over the cracks in the slab. A few years ago I used a similar product to this and had good results. That product was more difficult to use because it required a bad smelling primer to be applied prior to the membrane. I love using this GreenSkin because it has a peel off backing and requires no primer. I apply it directly over any cracks in the slab and then use a crack resisting thinset mortar. It is easy to cut with a utility knife of a pair of scissors. So far I have had good results.

I also received the "White" product. It is NOT the same. It does not have the green microbial top layer or the "Foil" layer. Useless product IMO.

Wont know how well this works for a long time. Instructions were not that great. Don't want to cut too long of a piece because once it is down it is down and it sticks to itself worse than duct tape.

I never had a chance to use it but I did cut a piece off to test the durability. The adhesive is very strong and ripped the finish off a piece of wood. The overall fabric was thicker than I though. If using this over a single crack, it may make a difference in the height of the tile in that area.

Used this product on a concrete floor that was moderately cracked and that I installed tile over. So far no signs of the cracks traveling through to the tile. This stuff is extremely sticky but once you get used to handling it you'll have no problem working with it. Cuts easily with a sheetrock knife. Don't try to cut it with scissors. The adhesive gets all over the scissors and is very hard to clean off.

Will post more after installation, but initial impression is a little disturbing because as several others posted, the material that showed up is NOT green in color as pictured, but a generic white material. Hopefully it's otherwise truly as described, but...???

The adhesive is sticky but not too sticky. You can move it to align after the first set. Then press it down.
