Quick Read
Gives good information for anyone just diagnosed with diverticulosis. I haven't tried the recipes. They look really good and can't wait to try them.

Good Information
Talks about the dietary differences between diverticulitis and diverticulosis which is super critical and seems to be confusing for most folks. Especially liked the lists of foods and how they treat the issues of both, and recipes outlining why they’re good for this disease, and easy options for changing them up to fit your personal tastes.

The recipes are to elaborate for me.
I like some of the information in this book. But for me, I also have CKD. I am not allowed the foods that are high in potassium. Foods like beans, sweet potatoes. I know what trigged my flair up. It was the high dose of antibiotics. I had to make a visit to Urgent Care do to an open wound on my leg. I was not given proper care there. A NPA treated me, but never looked at the open wound. Just prescribed the antibiotic and sent me on my way. Flagyl was the cause of all the GI problems. more antibiotics were prescribed, I was hospitalized for IV meds. I finally had severe loose stoles with blood, also black in them. My problem is trying to balance my Kidney disease and Diverticulitis foods to eat. Your book did not help. I have 3rd stage CKD.. It's important that I watch my potassium intake. Bananas, beans, potatoes are all foods I should not eat.

Non product promoting , healthy advice.
I found this little booklet to be just as titled, no non-sense. Offers natural remedies such as kefir milk kefir water or perhaps a slippery elm supplement. Recipes containing healthy foods for diverticulitis sufferers. A great go to for me as I was just recently diagnosed with Diverticulosis. Recommend this booklet for those looking to learn about how to manage and how to eat.

Finally I have good information
First to be said, this book is easy to read, it is not a textbook. This book contains current information and recommendations. I appreciated the details listed for foods containing high fiber, the ratios for the Omega 3’s and Omega 6’s. I cheered when I read I could consume chia seeds! And I really appreciated the section on what to eat when I was experiencing an attack, and when and how to progress to the next level, and also when to return to the high fiber diet. So pleased I found this book.

Good information
Explained diverticulitis well. Gave charts with foods you should eat and what they will do for you. Recipes are good if you like spicy food an don't have cholesterol issues but there are some low cholesterol recipes in there. Good information over all

Waste of money
Highly disappointed with this book. I was expecting more...There's approx. 40 short pages of health information and 2/3 of the book is recipes.I knew most of the content already having researched via internet. I was expecting more information like clinical research etc. Don't waste your money, research online instead. This is a definite return!

Great informative and helpful book
This book is fantastic for giving you the base information, the ingredient breakdown with constituents and why they are good or bad, and some recipe ideas to form the basis of a good gut health!Backed by facts and theory via research, even debunking claims like not eating seeds, so useful. Can't thank the authors enough!!! Just what I needed straight after diagnosis, to help prevent another peritonitis event!

Good but when it comes to nutritional values it’s difficult
It’s a good book but they only problem is it is American based therefore some of the foods listed are not available and the charts with fibre levels in are not very easy to understand.
