This mat is elegant. We sanded some of the bronze off and dry brushed it lightly with silver, and it now goes great with our door hardware; so it's adaptable. The lettering is pronounced; but it helps scrub mud from shoes. Often, you'll need to lift up the mat and dump dirt from the lettering if you really use the mat. But that's not difficult, and it helps to keep our porch clean. The cutouts do seem to want to tear when you do this if you don't hold the mat by the most solid sections. Once you realize this, you shouldn't have issues. We haven't. We are very happy with our purchase.
