Bejeweled (PC)

When you play a game it's nice to be able to see how you're progressing and to see if you can beat your previous high score. With this game I find it highly annoying that the message 'no more moves' just appears at random, sometimes after only playing it for a matter of seconds. I've lost count of the times I've got to level 8, in anticipation of making it further than level 9, only to be told there are no more moves grrr. I've had this game since December and as of yet I haven't been able to get past level 9. If it's my fault then fair enough but the fact that the game doesn't appear to have the capacity to throw a decent amount of moves, even at level 1, is too annoying for me.

This is a Tetris-like game where you have to line up 3 or more similar shapes for them to disappear. It's quite addictive, and you can play for ages at a stretch.The music is synth-based, and sounds a bit like Jean-Michel Jarre to me! It seems to work fine with Windows 7, even though it doesn't say this on the box.All in all a fun game!

Why four stars?It looks simple and that is what gets you hooked. Loose and you think "just one more game, I can do better".Before you know it, hours have passed and I do mean hours, hence the -1 star.It is a good game if you have plenty of time and someone to stop you for regular breaks.

I'm not so keen on this game. It's so repetitive, and seems a tad basic. I think even very young children would quickly become bored.

The price tells you this is not a complex game,however it is a good tutor for going on to more complex games like 7 wonders or jewel quest solitaire.It can get boring if you simply view it as a stand alone game.

having now played bejeweled 3 after i bought this game i would say buy bejewled 3.this game is the basic of the series so is alright but not as good.it is still fun but has not got so much to do.

Although this game has good reviews, the sequel to it which is titled Chuzzle Puzzle, is much more fun. It keeps our 6 year old grand-daughter occupied for short spells, but she spends much more time on Chuzzle Puzzle, as I do too!!

I enjoy playing games on my laptop and this has been added to all of the laptops that I use.
