If there is 1 review to read this will be it. Why?Because I have literally researched Dash Cams for too long and decided to get this VAVA Cam a go and I am very happy with this purchase. Want to know why? Than keep reading..I could go on and on about this but I will put in all the main reasons below.Price: I know the price may seem a little up there compared to others but I promise you this will pay for itself! The qaulity of the packaging alone will tell you they were serious about this product. Most cheaper/inferior products would just call it a day and throw it in a box and that shows you how little they care (I am sure we all know what I am talking about).With all the crazy drivers out there anyways this will save you with your insurance company if something bad happens as you will have CLEAR PROOF with or without sound if you so choose!!!CLARITY: Its very hard to judge looking at pictures how clear this cam really is so I won't post another as I almost didn't buy this because the pictures I see look average but I guess people just had bad phones or don't know how to take good pictures lol. The front/rear cameras are so visible you can clearly see faces and license plate numbers. What's the point of a camera if you can't even see whats important for proof in court?! Good luck with getting qaulity for cheaper...Again this alone makes it worth the price.BUILD QUALITY: Very qaulity made. It feels heavy in the hand and not some flimsy build. The components you get with this are also very high qaulity. This is not typical "China" type of quality if you know what I mean. So good I feel like this can replace my gopro lol. No really though its that good or actually better since this has many features :)INSTRUCTIONS: Here is a big one for some people who struggle with electronics. The instructions are clear, short to the point, and precise. You can actually understand the English in this which is great for those who would need it. I just figured it all out in like 30 seconds though as the buttons/layout is super easy to learn. But hey, some people need instructions so I am not judging, just saying, this is attention to detail here.EASE OF USE: Again, super easy to use even without instructions. One can easily flip through the menu and figure it out within seconds. You can use your phones wifi (non internet connection only to be used as like "bluetooth" to connect to your camera and settings) and makes things a little easier too since you don't have to keep taking your dashcam on and off just to view, etc.FEATURES: Here is another huge bonus...Night vision clarify (many cheaper brands are very poor at night this one is not), GPS function (this is great for showing proof of an accident to your insurance company etc, this can be turned off too if you feel the need), app for your phone (the app is where you can change other settings not in the camera itself like wifi name/password (change these as the name and password are generic so technically anyone in range would be able to connect to it too if you don't lol super easy to do in the app, as well as download videos, watch, etc if you choose to do it on your phone instead of on the actual camera). Auto turn on and auto shutoff with a battery backup included (many other dash cams do not have battery backup and just keep draining your car battery once your car is off or they simply just shutdown until car turns on again which kind of defeats its secondary purpose which is to protect when you are gone!), speaking of parking protection it works by sensing bumps, hits, etc (someone bumps your car it will automatically record using front and rear camera you can adjust the setting from low to high but medium is default and for me works the best).I think I covered all the main points here as this was everything I was looking for in a dash cam. Why? Well, last year I was in a big accident and thankfully alive...However since there were no witnesses the insurance company took the side of the other person and I lost my case all becauae of one thing...I HAD NO PROOF!!! Basically, a minivan cut my off last minute to get in a lane but since there was some traffic during this commute, the person in front of him stepped on his brakes and since he cut me off that split second and just a foot or two in front of me I could not stop on time. I was on a motorcycle :( I know this dash cam most likely wouldn't be used on many motorcycles but I learned that when I'm driving my car the same rule applies. I had no proof! Bottom line, either you have proof or you have random outside witnesses (people riding with you do not count). This day in age everyone is too busy to stop and help so your best bet is to have a qaulity camera to back you up.SUMMARY: Best overall dashcam for the price hands down. I bet this camera will be taking all the awards soon just watch and see.PROS: Qaulity, looks nice, features, app support, durability, auto features, up to 256GB memory card support with automatic looping meaning it will record over old footage but thats good sonce all that old footage likely was never needed anyways and if you get into an accident well than obviously you would want the most current files anyways, battery backup, auto parking safety mode, etc.CONS: Doesn't come with a memory card and it must use a MICRO SD U3 card (camera qaulity is way too fast and clear for any non U3 card thats why but I suppose that's also a plus for this camera) add about $10-$30 for a nice qaulity micro SD U3 memory card by Samsung. Just insert this dedicated dash cam memory card than when it prompts you to "format" it click yes because it needs to happen before use.QUICK TIP: If you have one of those powered (example: auto dim, homelink, compass, etc) rear view mirrors you may wish to purchase a 12v to microUSB rear view mirror quick wire adapter as it helps remove all the wires hanging around and gives a nicer/cleaner looking install without cutting any wires or prying any panels just to create a nice looking install.I know my review sounds like I am just bragging away lol but I know electronics are expensive and hard to choose so hopefully this helps someone choose too.

Tip: Change the Wifi name and password as soon as you set it up! Otherwise, strangers will be able to log into it and access your videos and pictures.Another tip: Your MicroSD storage card must have U3 speed or better, or you'll get a vague "Card Error" error message. I know this from experience. :)I bought this dash cam after taking a job that involves a lot of travel. More than one coworker suggested it's important in case I'm in an accident or the victim of theft.The resolution is good. You can read license plate numbers in the pictures if the vehicle is fairly close.The included Snapshot button is surprisingly useful. It lets you take pictures and save video clips without using the smartphone app. Click the button twice quickly to take a picture, or hold it down for about three seconds to record a video clip.It was easy to get the pictures and .MP4 videos onto my PC and view them. You can also watch from your Android phone. Use the Vava Dash app via wifi, or just pop the MicroSD cart out and plug it into your computer. Copying the files directly from the MicroSD card is a LOT faster than transferring them via wifi.Overall, this is a great dash cam. It was easy to set up and takes much better pictures and video than I expected.

It’s also the most expensive I’ve owned and I’ll balance that in the review here.First impressions: This is the most expensive dash cam I’ve purchased so my expectations were set decently high. I have $50 and $100 dash cams installed on my other vehicles and they’ve operated as expected. I needed another dash cam and so figured I’d try a premium dash cam for a change and this dash cam does not disappoint.Packing: Packaging is fantastic. It’s minimalistic and items are well secured in the box. As I picked up the dash cam out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised to feel how hefty this dash cam feels in your hand. It’s a solid weight.Installation: Installation is straight forward. Run the provided cable from your cigarette lighter up to the dash cam on your windshield. BTW, the suction cup is impressively strong! It sticks incredibly well (too well) to the windshield. One problem I had with the cable… there’s a VAVA “box” about 2ft away from the end of the USB mini plug to the dash cam. It’s probably for the GPS antenna or something, but that should really be re-considered. It can be problematic for where to stuff that box.Performance: The dash cam works exactly as advertised. It starts up quickly and gets right to capturing video. The video is crystal clear and you can actually read license plate numbers from a good distance in daylight and night. My cheaper dash cams are not very useful to see license plates from a distance greater than 10ft (which is like 1 car length!). I’ve uploaded pics and video to hopefully help you see the resolution.Notable features:1) You can connect to the dash cam via wifi and actually see a live stream on your phone. I’m not sure I’d ever use the feature, but it’s available.2) It comes with a VAVA Button where you can quickly hit it catch pics/video of possible emergency events. You could reach for the dash cam itself and hit the hazard or pic buttons, but it’s super convenient to have the button your dash.Overall: I think this is a great dash cam for $180 and provides the video footage you’d expect. GPS data is captured as well for reference; a setting you should consider depending on how fast you drive (if you get what I mean). The “box” may be a challenge to work with, but there are many places you can tuck the unit. I’m also surprised that there’s no real video storage option… it absolutely requires a micro-SD card. I would think that for $180, maybe that should be an included feature. Anyhow, solid buy; you won’t be disappointed.Tip: Position your camera before running your wire. That way you can run your wire exactly to where you’ll have the camera installed. If you run the wire first, you may come up short. Also, I’m not a big fan of using up a cigarette lighter for dash cams… consider hardwiring to your car’s fuse box (accessory fuse). It’s a little more invasive, but you don’t end up with a random cigarette lighter used. Everything about this little camera I love. I’m still getting used to it. I can’t wait to capture stuff while on the road. The camera is the perfect size and not to big. The package it came is very nice looking and the setup of this camera is simple and straight forward.

Overall I am very happy with this camera, I’ve tested many dash cameras over the years, and right away you can tell this camera is built well. After testing the camera for one week, I will say the quality is better then I was expecting and performs exactly what I want in a dash camera

UPDATE: JUNE 1 2021 THE COMPANY PROMISE TO GIVE $40 IN EXCHANGE OF GOOD REVIEWS WHICH I DID. GUESS WHAT NEVER DID!!!I like bcos of the shape of the dash just slim and doesnt block my view when driving. I purchased this camera for myvehicle safety and my family. I just want easy install where i dont need to go to auto shop and pay more for installation. Also this has parking mode sensor where i can leave my car and the camera does it job. Having someone scratch my car purposely i can catch that person. The picture of the camera is very clear very impressive and it really catches every single move if u put it to high sensor.

Just installed and tried. Very amazing. I was surprised by the HD quality and the sound recording. During recording, the device will save two separate videos on the memory card, one for the front camera and one for the back. The two videos are in line, which makes it easy for me to search for the recording. I was amazed by the super-wide angle of the back camera. It can record all the things that happened in the cabin. The video is super clear!I also love the size and the easy installation. It is small enough and won't block your vision. The install is super easy. The power cord is long enough and well suited to my vehicle. The suction is so tight, but won't make any trouble if you want to unplug from your windshield.

Before purchasing I was having a doubt about the product, but still had to take the risk and had to purchase the product and that was the best decision I made. The build quality feels solid and great and the resolution and advance option are incredible in the camera but the camera might be expensive but still need to have it, because the car is more expensive than the camera and we all love our car more than anything’s else.
