1080P HD Webcam with Microphone, Streaming Computer Web Camera with 110-Degree Wide View Angle, USB PC Webcam for Video Calling Recording Conferencing

I bought this webcam for video calls, as my laptop is plugged into a bigger screen so I can't use the laptop webcam. I haven't used the embedded microphone as my laptop doesn't have a port for it, so my review is only on the camera. The camera is lightweight and fits easily on my monitor without obstruction, it was easy to adjust the position. It doesn't have a shutter so I simply place a piece of heavy paper on top for privacy when I'm not on a video call. I'm happy with image quality; taking care of the lighting in the room is important to maximize image quality.I'm very happy with my purchase, it's hard to beat this value and I'm glad I didn't spring for the more expensive brands.

It's not expensive, but it's still overpriced for what you get. I only ended up getting it because I needed something to replace one that stopped working ASAP and the options are limited while everyone is WFH. The first week or so things were fine. The picture was not great but acceptable. The microphone was horrible. No one could hear me at all, so I have to use a separate headset. So what's the point of having the mic? The second week the webcam disappeared from my laptop and I had to replug everything, and then the picture suddenly got super grainy and I can't seem to do anything about it. I am just going to resort to using the Teams app on my iPad. Sigh...

The item is great. The instructions on how to are very weak. for tech. dummies like me it needs to draw me a picture.

Absolutely no issues with hooking this up. Simple plug and play use will get you up and running in minutes. The internal microphone works perfectly, have had no issues with sound or picture quality. Good camera and a great price.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered and received the camera in two days. I connected it to a laptop running Linux Mint and it connected no problem. I was able to switch between the built in camera and this one without issue. Could not get the mic to work on the laptop, but it has a built in mic, so no big deal. However, it worked fine on a Windows 10 Desktop computer and a Dell T5810 Workstation running Linux both with discreet microphone input. The mic issue on the laptop has nothing to do with the camera.UPDATE ~ Returned for 3 reasons 1) The mount, it should be spring loaded and hangs too low on monitor. 2) Grainy picture in low light. 3) Found it 20.00 cheaper a week later right here on AMAZON.Regarding the mount, I suspect that the other cameras operate the same from all the pictures I see of them. The issue for me is since it isn't spring loaded and the USB wire is on one side of the camera, instead of the middle it keeps tilting, which likely would not be an problem with a spring loaded clip. I would have liked tripod capability as well.Also, I don't favor the way the camera hangs on the monitor which makes it difficult to view the tabs and address bar on my browser in the middle of the computer screen. Please note, the monitor I was using it on has a 1/2" to 3/4" Bezel. So for that reason I am out.I originally thought that the video was pretty good when testing it in the daytime. But I was on a Google Hangouts meeting and then later a Zoom conference. We were discussing the Sugar-free gummy bears they offer here on Amazon that give you explosive diarrhea. During the later evening conference with its low light and exposed the inferior video quality of this camera. Frankly, I was so grainy compared to my counterparts, I may have lost a few friends.Regarding the price, I was shopping Amazon and found this camera to be inexpensive a week or two ago. I see now that the same camera is in the 40.00 range, I spent 66.00 on the camera. Maybe there was less availability a few weeks ago for webcam's in general, not sure. But now I see this camera all over Amazon with very different prices.

Two major reasons why this got two starts.1) The first thing I saw was the picture quality. I did a Quicktime Recording and a zoom call to see if what I was seeing was the same after a recording or a web call, and it was. Grainy, like the picture was blown up. While it may be 1080p, it's 1080p on a smaller scale, not a full computer screen (which honestly doesn't make much sense to me).2) The mic never registered at all. I couldn't get it to work on my Apple MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar (2016) while other microphones have no issues. Simply it not working or registering was enough for me.I'm not sure I'll be returning it or not, only because of the price. It does what you need if you don't care about quality and don't need the microphone. Though I may be investing in a Logitech BRIO for around $200 which has actual 1080p, no graininess, 4K capabilities, and some software to manage zoom, pan, tilt, and a slew of other things (if I can find one out there, all the web cams are flying off shelves).

I was worried about how to install this webcam when I got it. I have had trouble in the past with computer peripherals but not with this. I literally just plugged it in and snapped it to the top of my computer. That was it. When I turned on Zoom, the camera turned on and there I was on screen. It works like a charm and it could not have been easier - no drivers, no downloads, no specialty cables. Plug and play.

If your priority is getting a high quality webcam, this product is a scam. They list this webcam as 1080p HD. It is definitely not anywhere near that quality. Also, the picture is incredibly grainy. The microphone audio quality is mediocre at best. I bought this camera to record podcasts and the quality was so poor, I decided to return it. Really disappointed they can advertise it as a "1080p HD webcam" and sell it for $70 when clearly it is not.If you're just buying this to video call with others and you're not concerned about video or audio quality, I suppose this would be fine, but $70 is an absurd price to pay for a product of this quality. It did arrive in the mail in a timely manner given that the demand for webcams is extremely high, but I would still advise looking elsewhere for something cheaper.
