I took her class on applique and the book follows along perfectly with the instructions. Clearly written and informative.

Very disappointed that it didn't show needle turn appliqué. It talks about it but didn't show or explain it.

I purchased this book at my local quilt shop, and it is wonderful. First 60 pages cover how to applique, covering several methods. The rest of the book is a block of the month style, to make this wonderful quilt on the cover. I have found when a complex quilt is broken into 12 month sections it is so much easier to complete.

Absolutely a workshop in a book, but if you can get to a workshop with Philippa as well, you will pick up plenty more tips.If you want to improve your applique or satin stitch, or learn these techniques from scratch, this is the book for you.
