Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve After Shave - 6oz/177ml

Great stuff, with some staying power unlike most of the Pinaud varieties. Closer to something like Aqua Velva or Brut in terms of strength and duration of scent, but with a very nice spicy/leathery vibe. Not unlike their Bay Rum, but much stronger.

I think it smells like leather and cardamom, it not as over powering as some people say. It’s got a nice warm smell that’s appropriate for winter. A small amount goes a long way!!!I’m going to buy it again….

It's along the lines of regular Clubman. More pronounced scent, reminds one of old time barbershop, leather and oakwood.Not sweet; masculine scent.

They don't make them like before. The smell usually last all day. This don't.

I've been a longtime user of pinuad aftershaves. Clubman is my daily go-to, but I've tried most of the other varieties (Citrus Musk and Lilac Vegetal get regular use). I've read that this Special Reserve was a similar scent to the orignal Clubman but more potent. That's the understatement of the century! When I first tried this I used just a splash and it was completely overpowering - I didn't recognize it as similar to the original Clubman until an hour later (at which point it was still ridiculously strong smelling on me ... despite habituating to it, I can only imagine how strong it'd smell on me if someone else came withing 100 yards).So in the end I agree that this seems to be a very similar scent as original Clubman, but use *way* less than you'd ever think you should. I could not possibly use this as an aftershave splash - 8 hours later people on the other end of an auditorium would still be able to smell it. But I will use this more like a cologne: I'll stick with the regular clubman as the aftershave, then put a touch my finger to the top of this bottle and wipe that on my neck ... that should do for a day.All in all this provides huge value as this single bottle could last a dozen lifetimes, or be dilluted into a 50 gallon drum and still be effective. But really, be warned, if you try to use this like a normal aftershave splash, expect the paint to come peeling off the bathroom walls and for people to steer far clear of you for days ... it's just too much.

I first experienced this amazing lotion while a guest at a country club. I am a long standing user of regular lotion often found in true barber shops. Now I've found the Special Reserve and I am sold.

I like all the Clubman colognes and after-shaves. Well, I have 6 of them. There are probably more. I put this "Special Reserve" in my gym bag for after a shower. Just splash a little on. Last week, a 40 something guy in the locker bay said, "Damn, man, that smells good! What kind of cologne is that?!" I showed him, and he said "Can I take a picture of it?" He probably has become a customer. Just thought I'd share the story. By the way, nobody has ever called it "old guy" cologne to my face. I'm 66.

I loved this product, it reminds me of when I was a kid in a barber shop. I use this product as a body splash. Great product...thankyou..
