Mama Bear's Natural Shaving Soap with British Leather Fragrance

It's a great soap overall, I get loads of lather, good slip and it works fine as an actual soap if you prefer to wash your face down totally before lathering up for a shave. But, most if not all of Mama Bears' soaps are like that, so what you're really looking for is the smell: in this case, it's a bang-on leather smell. Got real leather luggage or other heavy, fresh leather products? It should be pretty close if not exactly that. A good smell for cool weather.There is a *slight* tingle with the soap on the second or third pass, I've found over time that it comes on more often if I've just shaved a little too close. I have mildly sensitive skin, and it doesn't bother me enough to ever stop using it - but if you have VERY sensitive skin it might be worth getting a small sample from Mama Bear directly to make sure it's your cup o' tea.When mine runs out, I'll be getting another one.

This is awesome soap period ........ the lather ability is superb the cushion great the slickness amazing and the scent I choose British leather is spot on to the English leather AS I use with it...... it melted easily in the microwave at 5 second bursts and went into the tin I bought from West coast shaving perfectly. It is in my top 5 all time soaps that says a lot and I'm sure that any mama bear soap would fill that spot. highly recommended for that traditional English sophisticated manly smell. buy this NOW.

Maybe I was spoiled by Tabac, or maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges since Tabac is tallow based. All in all, the smell of this is wonderful and lasting, the puck lathers as it should, and it's a good daily user. Not the best on the market, but probably the best in it's price range.

Smells great. First time I used it, I had too much water on the brush so the foam was too watery... just making the brush damp was enough to let me make a good, firm lather.If you use it in a bowl that is the same depth as the puck but has a wider diameter, 10-seconds in the microwave will let the puck melt and fill the gaps around the perimeter. Let it cool about 15 minutes and it is solid once again.

For the last 2 years I have been shaving with a double edge safety razor and do not regret the decision. I shave my head as well so I shave a lot of area. I have tried different soaps etc and recently tried Mama Bears and could not be happier. It smells great, lathers up and the wife has begun to use it. Highly recommend and will purchase more.

Not much scent but it does lather well and gives a good shave. I prefer the "Aqua di Gio" fragrance.

If you like English Leather aftershave then this is for you. It pairs perfectly with it. This is a good shave soap. Can't go wrong with Mama Bears performance.
