Simply Put... I Love These.
First off, let me just say... I'm not an audiophile. In fact I would bet that most people who say they are aren't. Being an audiophile isn't just having a bunch of songs on your iPod or listening to Spotify a lot.Right, now my quick review. It's hard to find an earphone that has a Mid-Forward sound signature. They all seem to think people want overbearing muddy bass. I tried the Brainwavz M1's and was pretty happy with the sound, but the cord on those is terrible and the plug is at a right angle that kept getting in the way with my Cowon S9 and Cowon i9+ players. These are everything I was looking for. Mid-Forward sound, a soft and flexible cord designed to be worn straight down rather than over the ear and a straight plug. They also have a little more bass than the M1's and they are clearer and smoother. Oh yeah... and I got the gold because on their website it describes these as "Golden limited".These come with 2 different types of tips and believe me, one sounds very different from the other. I tried the more bassy tip (#2) and found them to be too bassy for me. The mid tip (#1) is perfect for me. There's still a plenty of bass and trip-hop bands like Portishead or Cibo Matto sound great, while guitar driven bands like Sahara Hotnights sound great as well. For all the players I use, a Cowon S9, a Cowon i9+, a Cowon D2+, a Rockboxed Sansa Clip Zip and a Rockboxed iBasso DX50, these are just what I was looking for. I'm not saying that there isn't better out there, but for the price I would absolutely buy these again. In reviews I've found online, people have said that these don't have enough bass. Personally I would say it's because they are probably 1. using the wrong tip, 2. don't have them seated in the ear correctly, 3. their music was ripped poorly, or 4. they are using a poor sounding player. If you're loading up your iPod with a bunch of 128 kbps MP3's that were converted from a bunch of 192 kbps AAC's with iTunes then I think the problem goes beyond the headphones.

unsatisfied with purchase. Works better without the behind-the-ear support.UPDATEBroke after 2 months, no visible damage. Did nothing which I can tell made left ear bud stop working.Update #2Amazon honored the broken item and refunded my account when company would not respond to emails. I cannot be more satisfied with how Amazon handled the situation. They got my business. Will purchase another pair from Amazon immediately and report if problems. I have worn headphones and earbuds for 15 years of varying quality and these were the best sound and some of the highest comfort I have experienced. I was really disappointed that they broke so quickly, for about 4 hours of use each week for 6 weeks. In this day and age I'm just really grateful there are companies out there like Amazon that still value customer satisfaction. 5/5 stars amazon 3/5 stars the entire experience.UpdateThis basically happened on two different pairs. Did not happen on kc06a style

These earbuds are some of the best I've used
These earbuds are some of the best I've used. They are well worth the price, buy them. Reason why I'm giving 4 stars is that the clip to hold the cable broke on the first use, wasn't being rough with it, it just broke. Great Purchase!

It was a pretty good IEM for about a month until the left ear started to sound distorted on loud songs. Wish I could have it replaced.I'm very careful about handling my headphones and make sure they're never pulled, tangled, etc.
