First of all I am not a D&D fan of the board or card game or whatever it is but, I cannot deny that this is 2d brilliance. If you love classic beat em up 16 bit side scrolling goodness with some extra rpg style elements thrown in this is your game or 'games'.I love the graphics. Straight out of a 90's arcade, well because these were 90's arcade classics. It's like Golden Axe meets Final Fight meers Streets of Rage. You get to choose from many playable characters inspired by Golden Axe and then some. They control in you typical 2d side scroller fashion. You get a couple of basic attacks, jump, jump attack plus you get different weapons for different attack styles. The sound fits very well, very well made. I don't have the Japanese disc version, I have the psn download that I got for $5. I didn't even know that the disc version existed until about a month ago. I enjoy the American psn version but I do plan on buying the disc based version soon. Dragons crown is another game you'll love if you enjoy this game as well Odin Sphere, Murumasa Demon Blade.

Excellent, classic game(s) that should have been granted a physical release in the west long ago. Reminds us why Capcom used to be the Master of the Arcade experience.

ユーチューブで流れていて僕は少年期にセガサターンを持っていなかったのでどんなものかと試してみました。今の課金スマホゲームと違って理不尽な難易度をクリアする達成感はたまりません。

昔ゲームセンターではあまりプレイしませんでしたが、中古アーケードゲーム基板市場などでは今でも良く目にするゲームなので、PS3版の方が価格も手頃であったことなどもあって今回購入しました。難易度がそこそこ高く、さすがにゲームセンターだとお金が幾ら有っても足りないような内容でしたが、数日前に何とか「タワー・オブ・ドゥーム」と「シャドー・オーバー・ミスタラ」の二種類共クリアしました。移植度そのものは非常に高いと思います。特にゲーム中スプライトの大きなキャラクターが複数出現するとゲームの速度が遅くなるところまで（意図的に？）再現されています。買って損するゲームではないとは思いますが、ベースが旧来のRPG系のゲームなので、シナリオを一旦全てクリアしてしまうとゲームそのものが何度も使い回しが利かない種類の物であるところが少々難点でしょうか。（2015年1月24日追記）昨日このソフトウェアの買い取り勧奨のメールがAmazonより届きましたが、現在同時にセガサターン版を所有していることも有り残念ながら既に先月末に某有名買い取り専門店舗に売却してしまいましたので、悪しからず。

アーケードにあってクリアできなかったのがこのダンジョンズ＆ドラゴンズだったんです。しかも２作品収録。はじめてゲームソフトを予約してまで買っちゃいました。＾＾；いざやってみると・・・やっぱり激ムズ。＆ＰＳ３の画質に慣れちゃってるんでけっこう古さを感じますね。でもオンラインプレイもできて友達とも協力プレイができてこの値段だったらアーケードで１００円でプレイすると思ったら簡単に元が取れます。逆にこのゲームを知らない人は買ってもその価値がわからないと思います。アラサー、アラフォーで当時アーケードでプレイしていた方向けですね。
