Bunion splints don’t work - even this impressive-looking one
Bunion correctors don’t work. They may make you think the bunion is improving but there is no permanent fix. This just pulls the toe out while wearing it, but it immediately returns to original position. It clearly doesn’t reverse the damage already in place that originally caused or exacerbated the bunion. My best analogy: wanting thinner thighs and wrapping your thighs in tight bandages so they look nice and thin. You can do that every night and everyday, but once the bandages come off... you still have the same old thighs! LOL.This is no different.

Uncomfortable
The bunion corrector is made with a hard piece (of metal I presume) that goes along the side of your big toe, which of course is what keeps it straight and pulled away form your other toes. So, that's necessary, and would be good, except that it needs more padding, because the hard part hurts! I don't want a hard piece of metal pressing against my foot exactly where my foot is already in pain. Otherwise it would really work great- they just need to put more padding on that metal piece so it doesn't hurt :(

Making my life a little easier
Backstory: I stubbed my second- (or "pointer-") toe about five years ago on a wooden bedpost and at the time didn't seek medical attention because I figured there wouldn't be anything to be done about it anyway. Throughout the years I'd have awful foot pain when walking, but this past year it became increasingly painful- even when sitting or laying down. After finally being able to see a Podiatrist last month (over video, of course,) she recommended finding a product like this that I could wear to stabilize my foot. As it turns out, I didn't/don't have a bunion but I'd apparently been walking around with Metatarsalgia and Capsulitis of my MTP Joint for years...Onto the Product itself: The daytime sleeves are pretty self-explanatory and work well, although I can really only wear a few pairs of shoes comfortably with it on (only need one for the right foot.) I'd recommend wearing shoes with a wider toe box if you aren't already. The brace for night-time is a little confusing at first, but once you get it set up the first time it's easier to maneuver. Having the aluminum bar to help keep everything in alignment while you're sleeping really does help to ease the pain! Similarly, the cushion between the big toe and second toe is also very comfortable and helpful. It is still good to take a break from them every now and again, but I typically use the sleeve daily, and give myself a break in the evenings before bed/before donning the brace.I haven't tried putting the actual brace in the wash but I do handwash it, and Febreeze it and typically leave a dryer sheet in it during the day as well. The sleeves can probably go in the wash like in a linen bag or something, but I wouldn't do it too often because I feel like the cushion part may lose its integrity (again: handwash, Febreeze, and dryer sheet.)Con: Only con that I have right now is that the sleeves with the toe cushion have the ability to be adjusted a little (so the cushion isn't under your toes,) but recently I tried to push it back to where it is supposed to be because it seemed like it kept trying to lay under the toes at baseline, and I haven't really been able to do so successfully. Luckily, there are two and I only have one ailing foot, so I just broke out the other sleeve and moved on with my life. Even with this slight "first-world" inconvenience, I still highly recommend this product, as it has brought me some stabilization and pain-relief (not pain free but markedly better with them than without!)

Seems to Help
I purchased these because I had sudden extreme pain in my right big toe and assumed it was a bunion because it kinda looked like a bunion. But what I have may be Gout?...which is also incredibly painful!!Either way...this brace provided some relief when used in conjunction with ice packs and anti-inflammatory pain relievers. The downside is that you obviously can't wear this with shoes and the included pieces that are meant to be worn with shoes were too tight, too painful and hard to put on. I needed the "cushion" part to be on the "outside" of my toe where the bunion/swelling is....not on the inside where the big toe is separated from the second toe.Either way...this is better than nothing and the metal plate provides gentle pressure during the evening and is good to wear around the house. The slip on pair are useless to me.

Spints are awesome, sleeves notsomuch
The splints are amazing and work wonderfully. I had a slight learning curve in that I didn't realize they were left/right specific. You CAN wear them on either but they are properly worn with the logo facing up, so if you walk around in them a little, that way you aren't walking on the velcro attachment and they are much more comfortable if worn properly. You can trim the fabric around the toe attachment on the splints, I had to because it rubbed the webbing in between my toes and felt horrible, but after I trimmed the fabric they are great. The sleeves, however, while excellent in concept are not useful. I am female and wear a size 9.5 shoe, so my feet are not ginormous and on par with the average male. The sleeves said they were size L, but not an American L. They cut off the circulation in my toe as they are way too tight/small. I really wanted these to work as they would be awesome to wear with shoes. There is no way to adjust the sleeves, they are what they are. The splints alone are worth the cost, however. And I highly recommend them if you have a bunion(s).

The splints fit, the sleeves were too small, so all had to be returned
This type of product was recommended to me by a medical practitioner to offer some relief from my bunions. I first tried the splints, and although cumbersome to put on, I wore them the first time for about an hour and felt over time they might be helpful. However when I tried on the sleeves, they were simply too small for my wide feet. The only choice -- because they are sold as a set -- was to keep it all (even though the sleeves were not usable for me) or return them all for a full refund. I chose to return, and offer this as a cautionary tale that when products are bundled together they might not all work. If I try to purchase something else I will only purchase a single item rather than bundling more than one together.
