120131 Bagup Tool

Arrived on time and was as described but it isnt easy to change the bags. I love the concept though.

I bought this little treasure to do battle with the "recycled dog food" in my backyard. I had been using a small shovel and a plastic bag. I bought this little crap wrangler with the thought that I wouldn't have to bend over so far and it would save my back. I had the poop patrol gadget assembled in record time and was ready to do battle with the dreaded Iams land mines that my beasts had so thoughtfully left me in the backyard. I set out on my quest for cleanliness and by the time I had the bag filled up, I knew this doo doo snagger wasn't my thing. The only way to get this tool of mass destruction apart was shall I say, get my hands dirty.The Bagup gizmo was also very flimsy and didn't do a great job of gathering all of the poo. I knew that I had been had and not only threw out the sack of poo, but also the product after the first use. (RIP) I thought about saving it for leaf gathering, but it would also be useless for that because the bags are too small and they will be filled up in a single scoop.I also considered salvaging it as the mother of all dust pans, but the incline of the lip doesn't look all that great for that either, not to mention taking it apart to retrieve the bag is at best a daunting task. The bottom line, move on and keep looking unless you're into making a donation, in which case perhaps the Salvation Army or some other cause would make more sense?

This makes it easy to sweep things up, without having to constantly bend over with a dustpan. My house has all wood and tile floors, and a two stories. It's easier to get out a broom and this gadget for quick sweep ups than to get out a vacuum, find a plug, etc. Then, just throw away the bag, rather than dumping out a dustpan, often having some of it land back on the floor. I'm going to get a second one for upstairs, with this price being so reasonable.It comes with some bags to use, but any plastic grocery store bag will do the trick.

There are 4 very important things wrong with this product1) The clamping system is too stiff for people with arthritic hands.2) With the handle vertical, the front edge of the pan does not reach the floor: you'll be sweeping under rather than into.3) The front edge is stiff: it may last a long time, but it does not conform well to any unevenness in the floor.4) The bottom edge is thick and this means you are sweeping stuff up a steep slope to get it into the bag.

The rubber is too stiff, if it would be able to contour to the floor, it would be excellent, I use it so as to not bend over while sweeping. For dog poo the still rubber would be welcome. The clips are very secure, you have to push the bag ring IN all the way to disengage the 'locks'

rubber edge could be tighter to th floor. really small stuff goes under it. Oveall works for what I want it for.

I don't usually write reviews because almost everything is better than this and I don't usually have a reason to warn people not to buy it. This product is a great idea with a miserable design. The bag is held in with a ring that is the same shape as the opening. Problem is the ring is impossible to release from the opening and if there was poop in the bag, you'd be wearing all of it trying to release the clips. I would not recommend this product.

I tried to use this as a dog poop scoop, which it claims is a valid use. Once the bag was full of nasty smelling poop, I couldn't get it off the holder. The yellow holder is supposed to simply pop open for easy bag changes. It doesn't. I ripped the bag off and tried every which way to get the holder open. I'm disappointed in the product.
