Not 8x8. Good rug otherwise.
This rug is ~7.5 feet long. Did not roll it out yet, so not sure about width. I by accident ordered two rugs, and they are both the same measurement, so I can confirm I did not just get a "bad one". (Or did I get two bad ones?...)Other than that, I really like it. The marble color is a good neutral, not too cold, not too warm. The beige trim melts in well. The price is right. I do not notice any bad smell, as some reviewers mentioned. On the fence about keeping it, since I really wanted 8x8 (and that was already on the small side). Perhaps Safavieh should manage expectations by adding the exact measurements. I would have gotten the 9x9 in that case!As far as "easy to clean" goes - I am European and always liked this type of rug (also for carpet). It is super easy to vacuum with a European style succion vacuum, which is what we have, for our hardwood floors. Not sure how well it would withstand the US type carpet brushing vacuums. But to me it is an allergy friendly alternative to regular rugs. It can however not be cleaned with water at all. So, if you like to do that, this is probably not your rug.

Not true 5x8
I previously had a 5x8 rug in this room with tape down and this came short in all corners. Overall, I like this rug. Had a bit of a yellow tone to it. I am hoping with a beige couch it looks more tan than yellow. I like the texture of this rug.

Nice rug, have several but never accurate sizing
Love these rugs. We have three and they are nice. Hard to clean and giving 4 stars because the latest we bought that arrived today was ordered as an 8x10 and is actually a 7’7x9’11”

Down one star for my OCD
I made the mistake of not researching what Sisal was beforehand, and when I learned what Sisal was, the rug was already here. The rug overall is really nice although I have noticed some of the strands are kinda.. stained? Or just really dark. It’s almost like a piece of garbage on the rug but you can’t clean it away. Overall the rug looks nice under my bed, but buyer beware and research Sisal before buying like I did. It’s NOT a soft material, but it IS durable

Backing Has Strong Chemical Smell
First of all, this rug is beautiful. It is a lovely neutral shade, not too yellowy or too honey colored, just a beautiful truly neutral khaki color and exactly what I was looking for. The sisal was evenly woven, and the quality seemed very good. The problem is the backing. Many of us seek out natural fiber rugs (jute, sisal, seagrass, cotton etc) because we care about the indoor air quality in our homes and the environment. So it was a HUGE disappointment to discover the backing material is a solid coating of white rubber, possibly with pvc, with a very strong chemical odor. We had to move it to an unused room within an hour because we were developing throat irritation. I really hoped that it would air out and the smell would dissipate in the coming weeks but it did not. I had to return it, which thankfully was not a hassle. I have since tracked down a similar rug that has a felt backing with small rubber dots that holds the rug in place but does smell toxic or have any odor at all.
