Review and fix to common problem
Great phone. Its looks nice, battery lasts me 2-3 days with medium usage, great cameras. A problem is that Google services was taken away from china's brands of phones. Which means no Google play and let's just say Huawei store hasn't got anything useful like Instagram or Facebook. My suggestion and fix to this is getting something from the Internet called aurora store, its 100% safe and has allowed me to obtain any app without the need of Google services (if u need a link that I know is 100% trusted DM me on insta D_nb9But overall as an phone. Perfect

Extremely disappointed
Let me start with the fact that in terms of technical features this phone is great! Excellent display, battery life, fast processor and great memory. However, and this is a BIG one, it doesn't have the Google play store or any other Google services! Ok, this is partly unfortunate cause it is due to the current USA/China issues and I don't expect them to openly advertise it on the product description cause nobody would buy it. But honestly, in this time and age, a phone is useless without Google! The Huawei App is an absolute joke at this point. It doesn't have half of the Apps I use and have already paid yearly subscriptions on (myfitnesspal, downdog, gymondo, citymapper, clue and the list goes on and on...). Meaning that this phone is absolutely useless to me! I can't even seel it cause nobody would knowingly buy a phone without Google Play! I am so disappointed. I hope they either up their game and make the Huawei app as good as Google Play or get a way to get Google Play. At this point, Β£250 completely gone to waste.

Mixed review, but better than average.
I thought I'd buy this phone to treat to myself, as it's a good price and I've wanted a Huawei for a while now. I was planning on buying the P30 lite, but ended up with the P40 lite, because I preferred the screen and the fact that it updates to the most recent EMUI, rather than being stuck on 9.0.I would love to say that I feel I made the right choice in buying it, as overall it is a nice phone, but I do regret my choice slightly. The one major reason for my regret is the lack of Goodle Play services. I was fully aware that this model solely run on Huawui software before purchasing, but didn't realise at the time how much of a pain it would be become. There are practically no useful apps supported by the Huawei store - Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, online banking apps, YouTube, o2, Sky - to name a few, are all missing. There are more but I'd be here forever naming them. However, you can still download some of these (not all are possible) and others using something called an APK download, which you can do directly from an APK website or you can download an app called 'APK Pure'. Downside to this is that some apps downloaded using this way won't work correctly in some form or another, usually notification errors or random crashes.Speaking of random crashes, even the apps downloaded directly from the Huawei store tend to crash and delete themselves from the background sometimes, albiet not often enough to be considered more than a bit of a pain. One last issue I have to mention is an issue with the gestures. Within 3 weeks the gesture that snapped apps onto the background became very jaggered and not smooth at all and nothing I did or changed in the settings fixed it. It might not be an issue to some, but for me it got on my nerves too much so ended up factory resetting, which fixed the problem. So depite these issues, the phone actually works pretty well. I've got to mention how great the battery life is; a whole day of heavy usage before I need to charge, which compared to my old iPhone 7, is like a miracle! The gestures are pretty awesome and flow really well (except that one time where they didn't) and the screen is a pretty decent resolution. It's essentially as it says on the description, but thought I'd warn people of the possible pitfalls of owning one. Also, description reads free case? Yeah.. I didn't receive mine, so I doubt anyone else will.

Really good phone
Excellent phone for β¬205/6gb ram nb , got this for my better half she loves it ,got it on the warehouse deal and its like new , screen is great vg resolution battery life is very good (1 to 3 days) . No google apps on it but you can still set up gmail via the huwei app etc and if you really want you can install google play store and all the apps if you follow the internet tutorials , did this on my own pro version of this phone and and they have been working for the last 2 years no problem so far, this phone is as good as the pro version not much difference really , battery life about the same , both charge in about an hour so very quick. can take 2 sims or 1 sim and a special N.M. mem card.

Huawei P40 LITE 5G,a hundred times much better and more beautiful than the P40 lite
Huawei P40 LITE 5G,a hundred times much better and more beautiful than the P40 lite πA smartphone for all pockets, it doesn't have snit Google services, so it's perfect. For those who don't know, there is life without Google and even better.I no longer have to swallow 100 useless applications made by google just for the simple reason that they want it.There are hundreds of other application stores. The phone is perfect in all respects, including the perfect battery life.πππUPDATE:27.03.2021- After 4 months+ of use, I can definitely say one hundred percent that I will never return in my life to phones that use the Google services.Once you discover the freedom to use any software in this world on a phone that is not censored, you realize what the freedom and benefits of having YOUR PERSONAL PHONE means.

A great phone! Better, it is de-googled! - it is so easy to adapt to Huawei apps store
This phone is so fast, images are brilliant and battery lasts like forever. I highly recommend it!!At the beginning I thought would be difficult to undo my small world of apps. A bit of open mind, critical sense of what is really needed and what can be changed and gratefulness for this small amazing phone makes everything much EASIER than I initially thought. Also, for me is important to know my money is going to a company owned by her employees, instead of to abusive billionaires.
