I haven't measured the output, but I don't believe the power output on this. I use my phone to stream music while driving, it barely charges. Other chargers rated much lower charge my phone faster. Is there any App or gizmo out there that measures USB current, wattage? I'd be happy to update this review if had a way to get a real measurement. But, I don't think my impression is wrong.

I purchased the white and black of the same model. I've used both when my family had a long drive from New York City to McAllen, Texas, a total of more than 29 hours. The white one I plugged in the front and the black one at the rear of my Honda Pilot. All our tablets and phones were charged OK and always ready for use. Didn't have any problem on connections or overloading or whatever. Highly recommended.

Very good, but the high amperage setting warms the phone (iphone 5S) up quite a bit... I use it when I need it but for long trips I try to switch to the lower amperage port.

Stopped working on day two. Can't believe it. Thought I was getting something bad. Maybe it was a bad one. Because there are lots of good reviews.

Had it for a couple months now, and its still working! Nice to charge the iPad and iPhone at the same time!

Used only briefly. Worked very well. Will use extensively as I travel more.
