Make one for lefties!
Another product of the right handed world, where only lefties notice.Used the Morsel Sporks on our Death Valley back country trip last weekend. Great product, but is noticably a right handed tool. The spoon feels very awkward in the mouth when used with the left hand (instantly noticable). Mirror the design and you’ll have a left handed tool. I’ll buy two when you do. I’m sure many others will as well. Mention the left handed option in your marketing, lefties will notice and be greatful. Add something to the design to make it easily identifyable which one is left or right handed. A big raised L and R near the middle would do the trick. Other than that, this tool is the best spork ever made.

Houston, we have a problem.
[new review after a two months - 1 star]How the mighty have fallen. I’ve used my morsel spork a lot since I wrote my original review, slightly less than two months ago. The best part of the design, the rubberized edge, is also the worst. My morsel spork has split at the tip down to the plastic, and the rubberized layer flakes off during each wash (and into my food, I presume). I want to love this spork, but not when it sheds material this easily.[original review below - 5 stars]Tired of scraping your teeth on titanium? Get thisEat with this utensil just once, and I’ll wager you’ll switch to it. Easier to clean, more tooth friendly, this is the spork you’ve been waiting for. A bit long for travel, though they make a shorter version as well as a “only-spoon” version. The rubberized edge is magical for getting those last bits out of the cooking-pot or package.

One of the better ones out there.
1 Nov 19 - Wanted to give an update on my second Morsel. This time around I'm not treating the rubber tip/edge like it's indestructible and have zero issues with it. This doesn't take much effort, when I pull blazing hot oatmeal out of the microwave, I use the fork end without the rubber to stir in my peanut butter. I just use less pressure when using the tip. In my opinion the gold standard in a spork. Now if only they made a left handed version!I have been using one of the popular plastic travel/camping sporks for quite awhile. I specifically keep this in my desk at work to use with oatmeal and it's shape didn't do a good job getting all the oatmeal out of the bowl. You know that stuff sticks to the bowl like concrete when it dries!I was super excited when I found this. Extended length and the soft sides really set it apart. It was every bit as great when I got it. Unfortunately after two and a half months the rubber on the tip split (see pic). I'm still giving it a 5 star rating. I'm not the typical user, so I'm not deducting points for the split. I just wanted to give buyers a heads up to treat the tip with a little extra care to prevent this. If it was $25 I'd be more critical. I'm going to order a second one and see if it holds up better now that I know to take it easy on the tip.

Great innovation, great customer service.
This XL version of the Morsel is perfect for reaching deep into freeze-dried food packets. However, that's not all it's good for. At first I thought it would be too long for regular use, but if you're using the fork and the spoon ends in the same meal, then it's really not - because you have just enough space to keep your hands clean by holding the utensil in the same place in using both ends. However, there is a smaller version available (7.5") called the "mini" for those who would like a shorter version.I have already used it on a camping trip, and the ability to scrape clean the inside of titanium cups or delicate non-stick surfaces without fear of scratching the surface is genius.Having also reached out to their customer service, they have been very friendly and receptive for product development ideas. All in all, a clever idea and made with quality products right here in the USA, make this a premier choice for your camping kitchen arsenal.

My go to spoon/fork
After trying many of the long handled spoons/sporks (typical aluminum/titanium versions) on the market, I decided to give this version a go. While the others are all ok, I have decided that I like a regular fork and spoon (I am also not a fan of the texture some of the metal utensils have in the bowl). I purchased both a long and a regular version of this spoon/fork. The long version has found a permanent home in my back pack, while the regular version is my new go to lunch utensil.Pros:Like any good tool it feels good in my hand. Fully functional spoon and fork. Built in scrapper works well and will not scratch the inside of pots. Bright and easy to see and works great.Cons:Note these are very minor but I thought I would mention them as they are part of my experience with the spoon/fork. There is a hole in the center of the handle on the fork side that can collect food. I am not sure of the purpose of this hole...I thought maybe it would be a spot to clip a small carabiner...but I don't see how or why I would want to do that. On the spoon side the companies name "morsel" is lightly engraved into the handle. The letters are very shallow...less then the thickness of a human hair (.0156) but it is enough to see...and enough that when eating rehydrated lasagna I had to clean spaghetti sauce out of the letters. (If I was the manufacturer I would move the name to the center of the handle...)Over all this thing handles heat well, is tough, works great and is better then anything else I have tried to date.

Pretty sweet camping utensil - better than any other
I decided to test this beast out before heading out in the back country and I have been quite happy with it. The most striking feature is that it is actually the right size. Most other camping utensils are too short and designed for eating in your kitchen from a shallow bowl or plate, not the Morsel - this is long enough to use with your camping pot or straight from a dehydrated food pouch. Another thing I like about it is how study it feels while also having the soft edges on the spoon/knife/spatula side. Overall I think this spork-spatual thing is gonna be awesome to have on camping and back country ski trips.I also found that it does a great job cleaning out the last bits of food in your Tupperware or pot.
