Using and appropriate degreaser it cleans the chian very well.Very useful for wet climate and muddy places.

Nice robust bit of kit, works well so far. I bought this to keep at work to clain my commuter's chain, I have a park tools one at home. The differences are that the brushes seem a bit more flimsy, the foam isn't very dense that skims the excess chain claener off and there isn't a magnet at the bottom to catch ant filings. That said, the Park Tools one was more expensive. The only other thing of note is that the clip that holds the two halves together is very fiddly to do one handed when you're clipping it onto the chain. All in all, this is a great tool for a spare, but, if you have only one, I'd pay the extra for the Park Tools cyclone

It cleans very well so was happy the first couple of times I used it but unfortunately the handle snapped off very easily and one of the internal sponges has already torn and fallen out. The brushes still clean well though, just a little awkward to hold now.

Can't fault it at cleaning the chain. Used it on 3 different bikes and the chains were spotless after. However it comes with a little sponge that immediately gets caught up on the chain as soon as you start turning the crank. I removed it completely and the chain still gets a good clean.
