We bbq/braai A LOT and for some reason I tortured my hands with shorter, less durable tongs. I saw these and went for it and not at all disappointed. They have stood up to good use so far!

Tongs are a good strong design easily capable of levered grill lifts without bending or warping the plates or shaft & they have no unnecessary lips or complexity that often make keeping them clean more work. Grips are good, although they have a bit of play along the length; no issues with them coming away, just gives a bit of a loose feel. The locking mechanism becomes looser over time on this design as the narrow contact point warps the top cross section with use; can always be bent back, would just be nice if it were re-enforced to prevent or slow this further.

We recently upgraded our barbecue and we were seriously lacking in the right tools to use. So I shopped around and found this pack of 2 tongs. Figuring you needed a different set for each kind of food, we bought these and other flat ones for burgers etc. They're great, they reach the back without you having to have your hand over the heat. Feel really sturdy, wash really easily. The completely fit the requirement. Good value to compared to some.

These are not BBQ tongs. They are too short for BBQing. Ok for lifting bacon off the grill

Great value for money, these tongs are good and solid the shape at the business end is great for barbecuing as it will grip firmly enough to lift food that has started to stick. These are longer than previous versions I have owned and did think they may be less effective but this is definitely not true.
