Great pocket knife
For the price point, its size and function. You can’t pass it up. Only wish the handles weren’t plastic. But they haven’t failed me or slipped. I just like a more substantial feel. It’s held a great edge over the past couple months. I’ve only strauped it once. If you need a cheap but quality edc knife, get it. I may buy another for a back up.

Great buy in a well-made EDC knife
I received a Kershaw Camshaft as a gift from my daughter and lost it. I bought this one as a replacement. The original shipped shaving sharp, this one was a touch less consistently sharp, but shipping sharpness isn’t that important to me.Pros:- Well-made and priced very well for the quality- No wobble or play, open or closed- Comfortable, if a bit vague in the hand- Large, strong blade- Takes and holds an edge fine.No real cons. Opening is a little stiff, but part of that is due to high assist force, which makes for very fast opening.I prefer thumb studs and plunger locks to flippers and liner locks, which I find awkward, but I knew what I was buying, so it would be unfair to mark this knife down for that.Would buy again.

Best bang for the buck
I love Kershaw for their quality, affordability, and the appealing look of their knives. This knife in particular has a tough and durable blade that comes plenty sharp out of the box and the grip is great! The clip holds strong on my pocket and doesn’t get in the way at all. It doesn’t open easily but also isn’t difficult to open which is perfect making it feel safe in my pocket. 10/10 will buy again if this one ever wears out.

EDC pocket knife
Nice knife. Great quality for the price!! It didn’t come very sharp though. Most knives Kershaw especially, generally come pretty sharp. It shouldn’t be too difficult to sharpen her up though.

Good Value for the Price
For the price, this should make an excellent beater knife. Taking into account the price it almost feels wrong to complain. I have other Kershaw's that cost more and came with better quality, but they cost more too. Those knives continue to serve me well, and this one should too.Like those other blades, this one arrived decently sharp, and has a solid feeling construction. But complaints:The flipper tab is a bit short given the spring tension. It really takes a bit of effort to open, enough effort that it may be an issue if I am wearing gloves. If you have arthritis or weak hands good luck. My wife cannot get it open. The swedge/false edge are not evenly ground on both sides. This makes the spine at the tip appear to have a wave/wiggle. Further, the actual blade edge isn't very symmetrical, favoring one side a bit. But, for $26 all this feels like getting what I paid for. For a work tool where it will get abused, I think it should be perfect for when I don't want to risk a more prized edc blade.

Outstanding knife, unbelievable value
I LOVE Kershaw knives. I think they strike the perfect balance of value. Outstanding quality and exceptional design at an affordable, reasonable price. I don’t recall ever getting one that didn’t come, basically, shaving sharp. I really appreciate the variety of features and designs as well. They’re not a one trick pony. A knife is a tool and Kershaw makes the right tools for MANY different jobs. You can get a higher quality knife but you will be overpaying considerably. You can get a cheaper knife but it will be a piece of garbage. This knife, the Camshaft 1370, is one of my absolute favorites. That’s hard to say. After all, how do you pick your favorite child? You love them all for different, varied reasons. But this one is a standout. The blade design is a “fighting knife” style/shape. It gives you a good, fully useful edge excellent for cutting whether it be rope or steak. The rest of the blade shape also makes it one of the best for piercing. Another side effect of the shape is that it has a decent meaty backbone but is light with no excess material. The fighting knife style blade doesn’t have the structure to make it great for prying or batoning. Not that you’re “supposed” to be doing either with a folder anyway but, that aside, the blade style isn’t good for those. As stated, though, it excels at most cutting and piercing tasks in a light and highly useable design.I appreciate that they mirrored the strengths of the blade design in the handle design. The handle scales give good grip purchase while being extremely light. It is decently rigid but allows for some give (under strong force) while returning to its original position. They also mirrored the slim, functional, no excess material principle which guides the blade design. The action is very smooth but rigid with no extra play. The flipper is low profile with rounded edges to make it comfortable. Not too big, not too small, just the right size and beefy, tough, thick and sturdy. It also has 3 little ridges where the index finger makes contact on the flipper to increase purchase. They work well without being sharp or uncomfortable. Kershaw has good, better than average, pocket clips and this one is better than most. Good and springy, thicker than most, no sharp edges to cut or catch, the flared edge to make threading the edge of the pocket in easy and its secured with TWO impeccably fitting torques screws. It also has a slot on the back, near the butt of the handle to thread a cord through. It’s unobtrusively built right into the footprint of the handle through the metal of the handle so it’s structurally sound. What’s the big picture? What does all this mean? This is the lightest, slimmest Kershaw I own without sacrificing on blade length or useable cutting edge. It’s the most comfortable knife to carry with such an excellent useful blade (of any brand out of the dozens I own). The butt mounted pocket clip (reversible BTW for left or right handed use) means that the knife is indexed properly in your hand as it comes out of your pocket. This IS my favorite folder equally well suited for for any cutting job including cutting my steak and also self defense in hand-to-hand. This is an outstanding knife at an unbelievable value.

Great quality and value
I love this knife. Use it everyday at work. The steel isn't the best kind so it'll dull rather quickly at first. What I discovered when it first went dull was that the factory edge is too fine. It was less than 17°. I used a friend's worksharp to create a new 20° edge and it's so much better. Now it holds up much better to regular use and is an easy touch up when one is needed. This is the first assisted opening knife I've ever bought and as much as I love this knife it'll be the only assisted open I'll every own. That's just a preference though. Overall this knife is awesome. Perfect for EDC or work. Glad to have it in my collection.
