I used it as an access point and I have never regretted a purchase more than this one. The wavlink esets itself to factory settings whenever it wants, often daily and so becomes an open network for anyone to use or take advantage of. At other times it becomes unresponsive so you are left to reset connections, re-establish wifi and sometimes you need to reboot the wavlink to get it going again.

I used all different price range items and branding and this outperformed them all, very stable and reliable the range is much better than most. The only problem is linking with older WiFi repeaters. Easily resolvable by choosing the lower range WiFi signal on the router and not selecting auto.Previously I would not get more than 8mb download speed in my shed now I get 200plus.My garden WiFi problem solved.Works so much better than my horrid virgin WiFi I strongly suggest that all virgin customers purchase this you will not be sorry.

Maybe I'm unlucky but this router has been terrible since I set it up on Wednesday; the signal is weaker than the Virgin Hub 3 that it's running off, it's constantly disconnecting and reconnecting,b and the WiFi speed is actually worse. I'll be returning unfortunately, as this seemed to be the perfect solution on paper.
