So my vans LEFT or DRIVERS SIDE sliding door broke. It was stuck halfway open and wouldnt close or open any further than right where it was at. I began searching and noted a bird nest of cables bunched up right where the track meets the rollers. After a quick search I noted it was this part right here. The INSTRUCTIONS ARE PATHETIC...BUT there are ample YouTube videos to get the job done right. It fits exactly as it is supposed to, seems durable and good quality and has to date 7/06/2022, held up to the abuse my children put it though. 100's if not reaching nearly a thousand cycles since installation. Great product and GREAT price! Same product, and i mean the EXACT SAME product at AutoZone was 300+ dollars. They reported its because they get it through a single vendor and cant use anyone else where as Amazon is open source.

I used google to learn how to install this product, instructions are great. The door now opens on its own. I had to remove the window on the sliding door. I do recommend this product. Make sure to use YouTube for instructions.

After I purchased, I read many well detailed installation stories with pictures. They did caution upfront to just purchase the OEM. After I had it completely installed, I could pull it manually and everything worked great. Turned key on, pressed button and the cheap plastic end broke right off, making the entire process a waste of time. The pulley wheel inside was plastic, not metal either. Live and learn

I purchase this car for my 2007 Toyota Sienna through Amazon Warehouse. Though an intimidating job, it can be done successfully by anyone with moderate mechanical aptitude. Your first try, I would allow 3-6 hours, as the directions are not that clear. There are many YouTubes out there to see the process.

This product worked great!! The only downside is that one of the mounting holes in the assembly didn’t have threads, and I didn’t realize it until after I was nearly finished installing it… so I had to use a zip tie instead of reinstalling the original bolt. There was no way I was going to pull it back out after all that work, so this is the best picture I could take that shows there are no threads.

I've replaced these sliding door cables about 3 times now on each side (they maybe make it past a year lately), and normally buy the more expensive one, but thought I'd try this to see how it fit. The fit was good, and the door works again. The only "glitch" was that the white and black cable anchors at the ends were reversed on mine, but functionally they were the same. This is the only replacement part I've ever received that had the metal spool included plus the washer on the plastic cover. The others expected you to replace the washer to reduce the friction of the wheel against the plastic cover, but I lost that a while ago and could never get a replacement. For this reason alone, it was worth it. If I had to replace them again (maybe in a year), I would purchase these again. We'll see how long they last.

Cable broke after installing

Had this cable installed in our 07 Sienna, so far it’s working good with no issues. It’s been 7 months of usage. And we use a lot for our kids.
