Doesn't seem to be a toy.
I use this net for catching wasps, yellow jackets, and carpenter bees then squishing them on my deck. In looking for an ecological way to kill these small terrorists without resorting to harmful chemicals, I first tried water pistols which shot the first two out of the air so I could step on them. This, however, rarely worked on carpenter bees which are quite large. Male carpenter bees cannot sting but are very territorial and frightening. They literally challenge me, occasionally eye to eye at 2' on my own porch. This aggressiveness drove me to buy my first net which has worked spectacularly, so spectacularly I just bought another. I no longer have the large holes in my porch from carpenter bees and can easily rid my wife's hummingbird feeders of wasps which keep the hummingbirds away. The net has held up fairly well to my stamping on it regularly though it has become discolored from bug innards.

"Telescoping handle" led me to hope for an insect net ...
"Telescoping handle" led me to hope for an insect net that had a long handle reach. The maximum length of the handle on this net is less than 5 feet. The item description does not provide information on the handle length when extended. The quality of construction overall is low, econo-like, made in China.

Bought to catch bats.
I bought this net to catch and safely remove bats from my house. Two bats and two flying squirrels later, I can report that it's excellent for capturing small nuisance wildlife. It's difficult to catch the bats in the air -- you have to wait until they land, but the squirrels don't ever seem to see it coming. Of course, be careful because bats are terrible rabies carriers. Be sure to never touch them with your bare hands.

It's not a toy! It is being used as a means of rescuing hummingbirgs!!
This is a very handy implement for rescuing hummingbirds as they try to taptheir way through an opaque panel in the roof of our barn, the height of which is 20 feet. VERY useful!! Thank you!!
