SHIELDeye RSCM-15701W 1280 x 720 MAX Resolution RJ45 High Resolution Wireless IP Camera with Easy Installation and Night Vision

I was all set to return this camera when I finally got in touch with customer service. They were able to help me set it up and it is indeed wireless. I will have to say that the set up is a bit difficult if you are not familiar with accessing your router and finding IP addresses. But with the help of their customer service I was able to hook it up and can access by computer and iPhone. There is a great picture during the day, and I do have it located on my interior windowsill. Not sure how it will perform at night but so far so good. Great product for the price. I would have given five stars if the setup wasn't so difficult.

Product was easy enough to install but ultimately there were some software/firmware issues with the device. The picture quality in the night was fairly poor, which is most likely due to the IR lights not being able to project far enough. All in all, the camera was not right for us as it was intended as a baby monitor.

Was not that easy to set up, but once it got up and running it worked fine using the app on my iphone. Could not get it to work on my laptop though. But recently it keeps going offline. I keep having to unplug it from the power source and replug it in. It is not a wifi issue, it is a camera issue.

After reading the reviews and questions/answers I had high hopes for this product. My optimism was quickly dashed. First, this is an outdated product with virtually no online support for the camera. There is an app, however, according to the app store many, many people complained that the app is very poorly designed and doesn't work. When I tried to download it the app wouldn't even download completely so I could use it. Second, the information online is so completely lacking because the camera is outdated. Third, the P2P is nonexistent. I really had high hopes for this product. It was packed up and shipped back to Amazon.

Poor instructions. Checked in many places, but could not figure out the way to set up e-mail alerts. Otherwise, the camera is fine.

These are great units and normally work well. This one did not work out of the box but Amazon took it back and refunded my money so I would not be afraid to purchase another unit.

night vision is not as good as the rest of it.

This is a great little camera. I am very pleased with the quality of the pictures. In daylight and at night time, I have a clear view of my pup.
