Great Book
Very Informational. Wish it would have been more general, with less of a focus on Katrina. Not all disasters can be related to a hurricane and this book harks on that storm as if it was the only disaster to ever occur in the U.S.

A comprehensive source for systems and control
The book is written in very simple manner. It starts from basics and gives a lot of examples. There are many solved and unsolved problems. In addition, there are topics related to multidisciplinary or multi-domain system modelling like thermal, electro-mechanical and pneumatic domains. There is a good coverage of control systems synthesis. A small introduction is given to fault diagnosis.I like the book as a source of reference for our research in rotor dynamics involving beam models, stick-slip friction and rotor vibration analysis. It would have been still better if the later chapters of the book also contained some solved and unsolved problems.
