Uptown Saturday Night

I saw this as a kid and always remembered there were a few funny movies with Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. I didn't remember there was a fine brother in the movie named Calvin Lockhart! Whew! He is enough alone to watch the movie. But anyway, it brings back memories of growing up in the 70's, the fashions and that very basic plot lines can be hilarious.

Memory Lane always a wonderful road to travel enjoyable and unforgettable.

As I work my way through my Sidney Poitier marathon, I just got to this film. A fun story, and SO many memories of NY and the 70s, especially that absolutely ghastly fashion that was all the rage then. May it NEVER make a comeback.Every film I see of SP's, I am reminded of his diversity and range as an actor. This was a fun story about two men chasing a lost lottery ticket. It was enjoyable, not five-stars enjoyable, but a pleasant watch, and perhaps, for some, a trip down Memory Lane.
