Very satisfied w/ purchase
Based on a friends recommendation, replaced newer non-US made clunky junk Craftsman ratchets I found myself cussing at more than one should.Ratcheting mechanism has good feel overall, and shape/finish has a good feel in hand. Solid tool and confidence inspiring. This is my first experience w/ a fine tooth mechanism and have found it immensely beneficial in tight spaces. Never knew what I was missing out on. I purchased the quick release set but not sure that I needed to...just what I was used to. If I had it to do over I may have passed on this ‘feature’.I hadnt heard of Tekton before my friend recommended these ratchets to me, but after using these for a few months and how satisfied I am w/ them, Ive found myself looking at other tools they offer. One other thing - online reviews note the exchange process for these is straightforward w/ no bs hurdles in the event a problem does arise, which was not the case for many Gearwrench reviews I saw when I was comparing the two. Not that I think I’ll be needing to take advantage of this anytime in the foreseeable future, but nice to think there wont be a hassle if needed.

Well Built and Useful Little Ratchets
Considering you can both the 1/4 drive and 3/8 stubby ratchets for less than some brands sell a single stubby ratchet for, these Tekton stubby wrenches have been quite impressive. For the times you need something small to get in a cramped space, these ratchets have worked excellently. They ratchet smoothly with a very fine mechanism so you don't need much space to get movement on a nut or bolt with these. Are they going to be you're primary ratchet, no, but when you're stuck in a tight area you'll be glad to have these in your tool arsenal and your wallet will be much happier that you bought this set over some of the other stubby ratchets on the market that cost far more and work no better.

Well built stubby ratchets.
Was looking for some stubby ratchets and Tekton as a brand is recommended by many mechanics. At first I couldn't decide if I should get the quick release or not. In the end I did get the quick release as it's easier to remove the sockets when your hands are greasy. They feel nice in the hand and have a nice finish. They are well built and will probably last a long time. I would have liked the 3/8 to be a little smaller and maybe lighter but overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Excellent Value and Quality!
First things first:These are really nice quality tools. Don't tell Tekton, but they could charge more for these. Comparable initial quality to the 'premium' brand ratchets that I already own (which cost 2x-3x more, including some of your fave tool truck and boutique brands). They feel substantial yet well balanced. The flex heads seem to click nice and firm to their detent positions- of course time will tell, but I don't think they will get floppy. They appear nicely made and finished- no burrs, even finish that wipes clean. Remind me of Williams brand (Snap-On Industrial brand) ratchets in terms of build, but these actually have higher tooth count so are a little more functional due to the smaller arc needed versus the older 36 tooth design.Noteworthy:I reached out to Tekton online customer care with some tool questions and received a response that was prompt and very helpful. I called customer care on the phone and was equally impressed. I suspect that is how they conduct business, and they left me feeling confident that Tekton will stand behind their products.Extra commentary:Although not all of Tekton's products are made in the USA, many are made here and they are a US company. I can hear my dad's voice in my head telling me to 'always buy US or German -made tools'. I think he would approve. When the time comes for my kids to move out and start filling their own tool boxes, I can see this ratchet set being a good place to start wrenching on cars (along with a master set of impact sockets and ratcheting wrenches).
