I bought this for dog 2. Dog 1 has had this collar for a few years and it still looks new.

The media could not be loaded.  We live in rural Idaho on a ranch and we do a lot of outdoor activities especially at the nearby lake. These are my absolute favorite collars to get my dogs! They last YEARS and never get gross or smell bad. A must have for dog owners

This is by far the best dog collar I've ever used for a pet in my entire life. As you can see I'm on my second but the first one was bought over three years ago and as you can see from the use of each and every hole, I bought it for my dog before it would even fit him and he used it throughout the first three years of his life and trust me, he used it. He is a professional deer tracking dog and stays in the water as much as he can. The buckles on the three-year-old collar are in just as good shape they were the day I bought it and the only thing that has changed with the collar is normal wear and tear after 3 years of hard use natural color fade and the waterproofing coat just started to wear off a few weeks ago. There is no other dog collar out there that can compete with the quality of this one that is as durable waterproof and is put through as much tarnage as my dog puts his through on a regular basis. If it weren't for how great of a quality this collar was I would probably have only given for stars but because it is such a great collar I gave five. And I don't write many reviews. The only thing that I would ask is for an extra large size this large barely fits around my dog's neck on the last setting and I almost need to make my own hole. The shipping was also a bit slow but again with the quality of this specific caller it deserves more than 5 stars.**edit: the large I got last time was definitely a half inch bigger at least where the holes were than the first. It was too tight even on the last hole sovichad to cut a new hole about an inch further down. Would love an extra large version... and hope adding the hole doesn't create water moisture into the collar**

We got these years ago from Orvis, and our vet always complimented them. Fast forward 6 years, dog with allergies scratching all the time, scratched the plastic off the outside. Finally got that under control so we ordered a new one. Our other dog's collar like this still almost looks new. We love these! Happy to find on Amazon!

Excellent quality collar. This collar has held up very well over the few months I've had it. Color has stayed true and not faded. The hardware/buckle is very durable. Wears nicely and does not get tangled or caught in hair and she seems comfortable with it on. It's perfect for the trails or the dog park where other collars have gotten very dirty/muddy/slobbery and are a pain to clean. My only complaint would be that I got this while my puppy was still growing and even though I measured her neck and went with the smaller collar (knowing I may need to purchase a larger one if I liked it), there was plenty of left over collar hanging out the buckle. I didn't want to cut off the excess because she was still growing and I was worried that it would start peeling the waterproof coating away, but it was awkward on her neck. I didn't have a silicone watch band holder that fit the thickness of the collar, so I ended up using a rubber hair tie and that worked until her neck got a little thicker and went a few loops down on the collar.

We bought this collar a year and a 1/2 ago for our water loving dog. The collar is beautiful and gets many compliments. When our dog got skunked and we could not get the collar clean the customer service department was very helpful and responsive. I have to replacethe collar as the plastic has started to delaminate and in addition the metal part is corroding. I contacted the service dept again to see if they had any thoughts. They were concerned about whether I was washing it every time he went swimming or not. I asked my husband what he thought about this odd question regarding a collar made for a water dog, and he thought perhaps their concern would be that maybe the collar couldn't stand up to the extra wear and tear of being washed or the soap. Nope, turns out that if your dog swims in the ocean you should wash it every time. Not noted anywhere. It was a beautiful collar. Probably lasted almost a year before it began to disintegrate. If your dog is an ocean lover like ours though, only get it if you won't mind spending $30.00 a year for a collar. I've done some research and have found a collar made for water dogs with stainless steel hardware that is $18.00 with a nice stainless steel identification label as well. It doesn't have a pretty brook trout pattern, but looks a little like leather and suits my budget a bit better.

These are the best dog collars I have ever purchased! The fish designs are awesome, bright and clever, but most of all the collars are coated in some sort of tough, durable medical-grade silicone-type substance which keeps the collar clean and free of ground-in dirt or smell. I have had one of the collars on my dog for about a year now and all it needs every once in a while is a wipe with a wet paper towel and its as good as new. This dog's favorite past time is rolling in the mud, so I have definitely gotten my money's worth. Some of the other reviews complained about being too long or not having enough holes to adjust - just trim it and/or poke a new hole in it!! I did both to get the right fit and I encountered no problems and the collar is still 100% intact. If you are unsure of size, go with the larger one and you can always down-size it.

Always had Dublin Dog collars in the past but this one doesn’t seem to be same quality and has different fittings to previous ones. Colours have started fading where in use (area around the holes) which have never happened before and the keeper is so lose it doesn’t keep the end of the collar in place.

Already have one of these collars in a different design (for 2 and a half years and still looks like new) and only being replaced as my dog has grown and the medium collar is just slightly too small. Great collar, looks good, true to advert and doesn't stink and just washes under the tap. Excellent, would highly recommend it.

Love the collar, does not get dirty as everything just slides off. appears to be good and hard wearing. definitely recommend... so far stink proof!

I bought this collar mostly because of the design and the price (less than it is now). Since it's winter, the fact that it is waterproof has not come up yet for our dog. It's a very sturdy collar, but the buckle and the leash hook make it very heavy for our dog. He will grow into it, but for those that wont, keep that in mind. The Mahi-Mahi pattern looks very handsome on our all-black puppy.
