Veers Off Track
Due to the author's aggressive insertion of his own religious beliefs and political ideas, what might have and should have been excellent narratives just began to fall apart. I was really astounded by the author's ability to transform secular stories into religious ones. Don't get me wrong, the stories are fantastic, but I didn't like how they were interpreted. When the author was able to keep on topic, it was beautifully done and enjoyable. When the author veered off course, I was unable to comprehend why they had even bothered to write the book. The details were intriguing, and I enjoyed learning about different historical personalities and their accomplishments.

Immeasurable Informative Literature!
Wow, Unbelievable! Good quality - a salutary book with immeasurable and informative literature. Another point I yearn to address is the book cover. Every artist who understands their writing endeavors concerning books grasps the advantage and importance of a book's cover. If it's a well-pressed image by a professional and lacks proffering an impression of being a cheap book cover, then you will have won half the battle with book sales. If on, on the other hand, you don't place value and worth on a book cover, your sales will not be present and will yield you little if any sales no matter how great the story is. There was not a problem with this, to me anyway. At first, I was not too sure if I was going to spend money on another book this week. And I did not have to think too long and hard about buying this one. However, again, the book was surprisingly mind-blowing.This book has massive information and accounts of documented timeless character stories of inspirational value. Also, the book lists people who were founders, teachers, rescuers, altruists, missionaries, attorneys, soldiers, scientists, writers, politicians, martyrs, immigrants, business people, and entrepreneurs, survivors, pioneers, and you name it. Everyone mentioned here in the book has sacrificially earned the right to counsel future generations on the nature of being a not so common character, as the author puts it. Some are living, while others have passed. Nevertheless, all of them have left a lasting, positive impression on the world. And you can read all about them here. This book should indeed be the best rated. These kinds of stories are keeping me occupied through self-isolation. Quite frankly, the book made me emotional, which is a first since I'm a book addict. And I loved gaining inspiration from this book and plan on buying more from this author.

Started off great, turned off quickly.
What could and should have been great stories told by an obviously talented writer actually fell apart half way through because of the author's aggressive insertion of his own religious beliefs and political views. Based on the descriptions of the book, I wasn't expecting even the secular stories to be turned into proselytizing. Still great stories though.

Good book, but
It was a good book when the other remained on the topic of real people. However when he went off on his topics of "parables," I often asked myself what was the point of this and ended up skipping those chapters. It was fascinating to read about different people in history and what they did. If it would have maintained that theme I would have given it 5 stars.

Good book overall but hope he keeps all the stories intact.
I enjoyed the book as a whole and would love to see the inclusion of more scientist instead of less. Mendel of genetics fame was a great scientist and a monk. Just a thought

Inspirational!!!
I'm on page 324, and loving every word. It is 26 short stories, so it's okay to read one or two and then put it down for awhile. No need to remember what was happening when you left off. The book is easy for me to read. And the stories are fantastic. I haven't found one that didn't keep my attention. And I've learned more about some folks I thought I knew about, such as President Reagan when he was young. Oh, I got the Kindle version.

Missed opportunity
The introduction was very off-putting, lots of waffle. I then found the stories I did manage before giving up interesting and well researched. However, the writing style was grating and the principle of "show, not tell" went completely out of the window. As the reader I was credited with no intelligence to understand for myself the messages and meanings of the story, and there seemed a real lack of humility that any other perspective, approach or understanding could also be right. I can't comment on the remainder of the book but the stories I read were from a a very narrow perspective and would have benefited from a broader worldview and cultural diversity. It's a shame as with better writing and a less commentary these stories could have been really inspiring. It is very rare that I give up on a book after starting as I enjoy a challenge but I made an exception here.

Great book rated 1 star
I absolutely enjoyed this book. The reason why I have rated it 1 star is because I am a Muslim by birth and the author hated and acted against me throughout the book. Jesus or any of the people mentioned in the book knew not what hate is let alone write it down or promote it!
