BELLLil Ripper Youth Bike Helmet

I've been looking for a helmet for my baby girl that isn't overly girly (pink/purple) or tomboyish, and this is it. It's so darn cute! My only peeve is that it's not MIPS. I wouldn't paying more for a quality product. Helmet is currently a bit too big for her to use, and it doesn't seem all that sturdy. We will have to see how it functions when we put it to use.

This brand was suggested to me from a friend who previously worked at a bike shop. The particular color I got was marked down by more than 50%, which should have raised my suspicions. I got 1 child sized for my 7 year old and 1 “toddler” sized for my 3 year old- neither fit. The “child” sized wouldn’t even fit my toddler, and the “toddler” size would maybe fit a 1 year old baby. Seems like the ones we got were marked down so low because they are incorrectly sized. We will be returning.

such a cute helmet, but nowhere on the link does it say the ages it’s intended for or the size head it will fit. I ordered it for a 3 year old and it didn’t even fit my 2 year old’s head. wish it was larger or the description had been clearer.

At first, I really liked this helmet. Until I realized that the straps are anchored to the helmet via a cheap, removable plastic piece and a tiny metal pin. Punch line, if your child ever drops the helmet (which does happen), the cheap plastic piece and pin will probably pop out and get lost — Meaning the straps can no longer be attached to the helmet.I emailed Bell for help or advice over a month ago, they never responded.Buy another brand!

Nicely made. Great design. Kinda small though. I wish it were bigger for my 6 y/o

I bought this helmet for my two year old and the strap came out of the helmet. I returned it and bought another one and the same thing happened again. So disappointing as I though Bell was a great brand. The strap broke twice and was barely used. :(

The "streamlined fit system offers an adjustable, secure fit with the turn of a dial." Well, mine arrived broken, defective, whatever you want to call it. The frustrating part is that I missed the return window before I realized it!

We love this helmet for our 10 month old. It has a great tightening and loosening function on the back of the helmet so it grows with your child.
