FILLOS Puerto Rican Pink Beans & Sofrito, 10 OZ

literally so flavorful I’m ashamed I ate the whole thing myself (probably shoulda made this anonymous but oh well)

I love when my coworkers walk into the lounge and tell me how my lunch smells amazing and ask me what it is. They look surprised because beans are not what they were expecting. The flavor and texture are great and the pouch is very portable and easy.

Very tasty and compared with canned beans lower in sodium from what I could see. These beans flavor improve the taste of being healthy meals and my mood 🙂

The texture of these beans is perfect. Cooked well but not mushy. The flavor was too mild/bland for me to just eat as is over rice, which is how I tried the first half of the pouch. The second half, I added greens, diced jalapeno & red onion and topped with guacamole. It worked well with the help of additional ingredients. Not good for a quick grab-n-go meal but tastes much better than your average can of beans for use in recipes.

When you don’t feel like making a huge pot of beans, these hit the spot! I give them a boost by adding a 1/4 tsp each of sofrito and vinegar and it’s as good as homemade.

Awesomeness taste, easy to prepare. Great for tacos, serve over rice, etc. Highly recommended.
