Derby Laces CORE Narrow 6mm Waxed Lace for Figure Skates, Roller Skates, Boots, and Regular Shoes

I first got these to replace my stock laces that came with my Riedell Orbits, since those laces were very slippery and were already fraying alightly after just a few skating sessions. The Derby laces stay tight much better and are easier to lace up since they are lightly waxed. I love them, they are a great upgrade to your skates at a very reasonable cost. I got the 108" length, there is some excess but I wind it back down the hooks twice and then tie the bow (the next length down would have been too short). I have skated a few times since switching and no signs of wear yet. The color is also perfect (I got Hot Magenta). I wouldn't skate without these laces now!Update: It's been a few months now and the skate laces are still great. I decided to get some laces (72") for my Converse shoes as well. I have a brand new pair that I got Hot Magenta and Lime Green for and a 2 year old pair that I cleaned the scuffs off with a magic eraser and then put the new white Derby laces on. They now look almost as good as new!

I decided to upgrade the stock laces on my hockey skates with a a bit of color, and try waxed laces. I got two different colors, yellow and blue. The yellow color was great, the blue matches the advertised color, but I wish they had a slightly darker blue like you would see on flags.This is my first time with waxed laces, and I am happy with the upgrade, much easier to get my laces tight. I have not had them long enough to assess their long term durability, but the material seems pretty rugged. So far at least, I like the heat molded ends instead of the more traditional plastic sleeves.

I really love the color and sturdiness of these laces. I will definitely be buying several more colors/styles.

I got the 120" waxed laces in purple for my figure skates. Nice bright color. I haven't used them yet so I'm not sure about how they'll tie. I will update once I do. The tips could be a bit stronger. They were a bit difficult to lace through.

I've bought probably 4 or 5 pairs of these laces over the last few years as a figure skater and recommend them to all of my skating friends. They are a great value and make it easy to change out old laces when their stretch starts to give out or when they start to look really dingey after a few months. I always keep an extra pair in my skate bag just in case, but they are very durable and I've never had them snap.The bit of wax keeps them tied tight waaaay longer than non-waxed skating laces and I find I have to relace far less often even when I'm skating hard on a session. They are a little thicker/wider than traditional figure skate laces, but I haven't had any problems with them on my Jackson Premieres, and they still stay on the hooks just fine (YMMV if you wear another brand of skates).

Bought for my derby skates, I prefer waxed laces as they stay in place better. Do not have the same wax coating as my precious ones (pic included), but still really solid laces. Nice vibrant color.

These are cute in my skates. Not too long . Could be a LITTLE longer . But they work just fine. Bought 2 pair. One for each pair of skates. I like them

Ordered the 120 inch in Pomegranate.I love these laces finally able to properly lace my well loved knee high Doc's!The boots have 20 pairs of eyelets. The original laces that came with the boots were 92 inches and they were a little too short. I was never able to comfortably lace the last two sets of holes. The 120 inch are just a tad too long, so in the future I will order the 108s. For years I have had trouble finding laces long enough, and just ended up making my own. I have loved and worn these boots since 1995...lol!The pomegranate color is more of a dusty pink mauve color. In the listing photo they looked a little more like a muted purple. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I'm stoked none the less.The laces are well made and feel like they will last until Tank Girl is roaming the post apocalyptic waste. They allow for tight lacing without a bunch of stretch or deformation and they stay tied.I just ordered another pair in sour cherry spark (so fun!), and I'm sure I will be purchasing in other colors and lengths. I have my eye on the black rainbow as well.... ;)
