After traveling with our cat for over 10 times (bus/car/by foot) I can confidently say it’s a good product and not as impractical as one might think!Great quality. The slip handle made out of silicone gives a good hand feel and keeps the carrier relatively stable when transporting. It’s actually better than a rectangle/long carrier because when my cat feels insecure she curls up into a ball. This can cause her to sit on one side of the carrier which makes it tilt. But make sure you check the dimensions before purchasing as it might be not spacious enough for your cat.Some advice for improvement: the cushion is good but it needs something to lock it in place. When my cat gets restless, she likes to push her head against the door which creates a gap. Maybe there’s a way to lock the door all around instead of just the one latch on top.

Took my kitten home in this, bundled up a cashmere robe inside for extra comfort. My kitten loves this carrier. We take him to the vet in it. He even sleeps in it at home. I think he likes that he can see so well from the window and also feels hidden. I also get so many compliments on its look.

I bought this because I was hoping to throw out the ugly carrier that takes up a lot of space and instead keep this outside, doubling as a bed and carrier.It’s easy on the eyes and my cat enjoys it.A few things to note:1. My cat is 10lbs and he fills it fully. I do not recommend this for cats over 10lbs.2. While this would be good to carry a cat of his size from/to a place, it would not be suitable if he has to stay in it for longer periods of time, as it sometimes happens at the vet. This would be too small, so I guess I’ll still have to keep the larger uglier carrier for emergency visits or if I expect longer wait times.3. The safety “lip” that’s supposed to cover the hinge connecting the lid to the body of the carrier does not stay in place, so every time my cat walks in/out it falls.4. The plastic is not very durable. My cat walked in twice and the transparent lid is already scratched.

The door latch is pretty flimsy plastic for how expensive this is. I returned b/c I felt like my cat who doesn't like being in a carrier would break it easily, plus it really is for a smaller cat. Mine was 7-8 lbs at the time and she seemed to fill it up.
