Blue Wing Olive Slotted Tungsten Beads for Fly Tying- 100 Pack (Copper, 1.5 mm (1/16"))

I use a lot of tungsten beads for my very small (size 18 or smaller) nymphs and on other brands spent as much time (or more) putting the bead on the hook. These beads are built for the fly tyer...as they go easy over a scud type hook and make the job pleasurable. Plus the price was cheaper than the major brands. Also I was very pleased to see a chart of what size bead goes on what size hook.

Ordered a 100-pack of 2.8mm silver slotted beads and received 100 regular un-slotted beads. When Blue Wing Olive sends out the right beads, they are great, but their quality control when it comes to beads is questionable.

Great beads, perfectly described product but the colors rub off in one day of fishing them. The metallic coating is less than superior, I’ve used a handful of brands that I could fish day after day without minimal scratching. These beads become chrome silver with a few hours on the river touching bottom.

tied some flies with the metallic orange, and was rewarded with a lot of interest from trout. I then ordered more orange and a couple other metallic colors ie red and green

Blue Wing Olive's Tungsten Bead products are really well made! The slotted beads are better than I expected and at a good price. I had them send to me on deployment half way around the world, they arrived very fast and exactly the right amount (maybe a little extra), cool/helpful packaging, will defiantly get flies down in the water column, overall great product, I highly recommend the slotted beads!
