Good Cheap Flipper, Stars Off for Work Required & Shadiness
For a $20 trainer balisong on Amazon, I think this is a better option than pretty much all the other random cheap trainers. It's actually put together with screws instead of pins, and comes with extra screws as well, which is a plus. It has some decent styling. And it flips quite well - I wouldn't say it's necessarily all that smooth, but it's definitely free in its flipping action. The pivot screws seem to actually stay put without me having to take it apart and apply threadlocker. But, there are some issues. The overall trainer is significantly rear-heavy, and a lot of that has to do with the latch. Since this is a trainer and a latch is not required for safety, and since the latch is incredibly difficult to use anyway, I decided to remove the latch from mine. The pivot that holds the latch in place is not captive, so I had use thin pliers to grab the pivot through the handle to hold it still while I unscrewed it. The metal liners are somewhat sharp on the edges so you will want to sand them down a bit. There is also the issue of a bit of shadiness on the part of the company. First of all, the blade design is, shall we say, quite reminiscent of the Hom Design Rhapsody trainer. Second of all, included in the packaging was a "card" printed on some kind of magazine paper that encouraged me to leave a 5-star review, promising me a $10 Amazon gift card if I did so. I don't know if this is even allowed, but I will certainly not be bribed into leaving a positive review. Ironically, my review would have been more positive if they had not tried to bribe me into giving them 5 stars. So if you just want a cheap trainer to try out balisong flipping to see if you will like it, or if you are already a flipper and want a cheap beater knife, I think this is a good option. Just know going in that you will probably want to remove the latch and sand down the liners, and that there are some murky things going on with this company.

Waste of money
The only reason this has so many good reviews is because they claim to give you a $10 card if you leave a 5 star review. Not worth the money. The knife felt great for the first day. Second day, Can’t keep the screws tight, even with red loctight, no matter what I do. Third day the latch fell off and it won’t go back together and even with the screws for the blade fully tightened, there is so much handle play that it is unusable. Basically this thing is junk, with decent handle material.

A little better than the cheaper trainers
Out of the box it looks to be better quality than the cheaper trainers and the G10 looks great, both handles were a bit wider than other balisongs due to the G10 scales on the tight side and required a small amount of gun oil at the bearings and some working in. The G10 scales are CNC made and still a bit unfinished as far as smoothness but, as another reviewer suggested, I wet sanded the G10 with #800 grit and then to 1000 grit and oiled them, now they look and feel a lot better. Action is fairly smooth and quiet

It’s ok I guess
Overall ok... The weight of this training knife is good. I flips open and closed smoothly. What I dislike about this product is that 2 of the screws loosened up and one fell out. I had only been practicing with it for 1 day since I received it. When I placed the screws back in and tightened down all of the rest it wouldn’t close properly. Also, it is more rough on the hands than other training knives that I own.It came with good reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Sold build, great price
I worked on this thing, after breaking it in the bearings smoothed out & i was easily doing tricks, the handles haven't started to wobble for much play but the sound of solid hits & a firm build feel you can't go wrong. The adjustable locking pin is great selling point as well but luckily I haven't had to make adjustments. Plus spare Parts & tool included... "a good way to have spare parts is to get spare parts." personally I haven't needed them. Which shows strangth in the build as well.

Very nice a beginner balisong
I bought Balisong song at an army surplus a couple months back and fell in love with flipping. And I want to practice without cutting my hand so I looked on Amazon and found this. And this thing feels amazing. Beside being on the heavier side which I like, it has no play no tap; on top of that the bearings are smooth and it feels bouncy. Definitely worth $20.

Great solid product!
This is the first knife in general i have bought, and i can say after 2 weeks of having it i am super please with this product. The handle is well crafted and sturdy and the knife works perfectly for practice. The only complaint i had was after a few days it felt to get a little lose, but then i say in the package they included extra screws and a wrench to tighten it! I knew with lots of use it would come lose and i am really glad that things, plus a holster, were included in the box.

Great Quality, But Affordable!
When I received my trainer in the mail I immediately opened it to inspect the quality to which I was very impressed. The trainer its self worked perfectly with no problem but what caught my attention most of all was the quality its self; it was heavy and sturdy and even after I had dropped it a few times it kept completely in tack and didn't even have a single scratch on it. I myself am a knife collector and I would I highly recommend this for a starting piece to a new collection or if you yourself are struggling to find something of good quality this is definitely the way to go.
